That`s good news Pikey,,,
I was a bit shocked to see where the houses were threatened and the loss of Wallarah House on the hill :whistle:The landscape looks vastly different on the news too, blackened hills etc
The spirits were high at the Pub though I see   :laugh:Cheers mate
Yeah James,,,
Ring the OBT Tenere Guru:laugh:

All good for me to go for the Sat night. Will have to miss the Sunday ride though. Look forward to catching up with the Bulls and having a few ales.
Let me know where and when for the ride down Eags??
Freemans at 2pm was my plan mate,,
Will watch the weather and fire situation closer to the end of this week and give you a call friday arvo mateFingers crossed its all clear to get down there and have a ride
Some more diabolical stuff is forecast for early to midweek at this stage :S  :dry:Easy job to do the sprockets & chain mate, just a few hints to help you along.
With chain still on, Use a piece of pipe (I use trolley jack handle) thru the rear wheel to lock under the swingarm.
This enables you to undo the front sprocket nut/bolt (different bikes have different sprocket setups).
Always use new bolts and nuts when fitting the new rear sprocket, don`t overtighten sprocket bolts because they will stretch :whistle:Fit new front sprocket but nut/bolts hand tight only.
Fit new chain being careful to set the correct length to suit your bike , use chain breaker to remove links (I have used a grinder to grind rivet heads in the past) A breaker is a better investment $50 for a toolbag size one.
Be sure to install the master link with the open end of the clip facing the rear of the bike when it passes over the front sprocket.Retension the front sprocket nut/bolt by using the pipe method again, but this time locking on the top of swingarm.
Use a small screwdriver in between the chain & sprocket, turn wheel in reverse and tension axle nut, then remove screwdriver,,,
ALL DONE
Sorry I have no pics to explain these, might be able to take some examples later today if you need James

I might throw on the pannier rack ready for next weekend later today, hopefully the Wolfman Bags will turn up by mid week so I can fit & check them out
A slight reshuffle in the way I pack stuff is needed I think as the new tent arrived on friday
Good onya James for having a go mate.
It is a good and necessary skill that you will be happy to have if the need arises to do a change out on the trail mate :whistle:Did all your knuckles survive unscathed ??? I did a few in my first couple of times
I whacked a new front sprocket on the 690 this arvo and checked the rear and chain etc ready for next weekend if we get the gren light
HAPPY B`DAY PUDS :woohoo:
You kept it a bit secret hey ???
DId you get some bling for the scooter mate :laugh:Seriously, hope all is on the mend ok
Thats a bummer Ace if ya can`t make it mate  Hopefully things work out for ya thru the week ,,,
Weather is a bit concerning atm with the fires and forecast heat again by early in the week, hopefully things will calm down for us !!! You might as well forget the OBT fireplace TB
FINGERS CROSSED
A nice cool day across the Hunter today,,,
But still the fires reak havoc for many :S :S :SWe have a lot of guys at work that were stranded last night and cannot get home, as well as guys that were stuck out of the area from home and have been separated from families etc
We even have one poor unfortunate bloke that ended up with his EX Wife, kids and the EX INLAWS all at his place and they are still there !!! That would suck
All the best to all still in danger or waiting for the all clear to get back into their neighbourhoods….
Must be a very worrying time for you guysThat fire has moved quick Adam.
I heard it headed for Catho only an hour ago :whistle:Fingers crossed for Pikey and all the Catho residents,,, it is a beautiful litle beach town
Yeah mate, That is close !!!
I had views in all directions of the smoke plumes at Lake Munmorah, Heatherbrae and the fire near PTW`s was just over the hill.
It was stifling hot so I had the house battened down and the AC cranking …Then the southerly hit just before dark as I went out the front to view the red sun in a cooler breeze. Opened up some doors & windows but , YEP you guessed it  got inundated with smoke and the house still reaks now
Stay safe overnight all the near any danger, as well as over the coming weekend :S
Hey Ace,,
Has the roster aligned yet mate ???
Think I will be heading down mid arvo on the SatCheck ya PM`s
Many fires all around the Hunter and Central Coast this arvo ,,,
Plenty of smoke and a Glowing Red ominous looking Sun in the sky :pinch:My thoughts are with the guys out near Lithgow, the Central West and Blue Mountains ,,,, It`s bedlam down there with many homes lost apparently
Not a good sign for the outlook in regards to riding in some areas either :S
I hope next weekend is much different -
