Re: KTM 690R , good allrounder?? 11 Nov 2010 23:09 #92415
Quote ” I reckon the KTM690 is the best* around for all the disciplines your mate wants to do Nickj and that demo Sutto rode has some extras and sounds the shit for sure
TB
*As they dont make an XR650R anymore
Trailboss” unquote
So I reckon it is decent

Ace wrote:I’ve been a tad busy since coming back from the 2 day to finish my report but i just wanted to say a massive thanks to TB who tirelessly organises these rides and makes sure that everyone has a great time. Top effort mate, i don’t know how you do it? :SAlso, thanks to my riding buddies Eagle and Wiggy for sharing the adventure…even though i did mess up your route on day two and made us miss the best part of the ride…is that right Eagle??
YEP
Finally to Chicken and the sweeps for coming through and making sure that everyone got home safely.
Great to catch up with all of the olbull gang and see some new faces. This thing is only going to get bigger TB :woohoo: :S :S

He has enough bits and bobs to put together a bike for the Scrapheap Challenge I reckon…
Just keeps dragging bike bits out all over the place :laugh:All very handy bits too
Great work guys,,, get the chinger back together and go from there OG
Lots of people would have given up on it way earlier than you :whistle:Cheers
Yep, Blame Ace for sure
Wigster & I stopped right at the gate, saw the pink ribbon and waited for Ace to come back,,, he was out of sight :laugh:Group decision to bypass it though
And I had a weird feeling that we were missing a good bit of forest :pinch:Bugger !!!
And on a technicality,,,
Ace actually led for a bit too just after we cut out the gate section
I stopped to mark that big hole in the trail and the lead group came along with the pink tape with a bemused look …
I thought to myself,,, “Strange how they missed marking this hole,,, Then along comes the red & whith jersy ” :laugh:Hope everyone saw that ok,,, it was a doosy
OK,,,, Back on topic  😆

You missed the gate turn on Sunday Eagle remember the gate section  The only group I may add that missed that section
. Actually no group completed the whole course bar the lead group but we had an advantage, yup true we did Amy was leading
Your card is sorted BTW.
As discussed,,,, We found the gate but saw no tyre marks (you guys were treading lightly)
So we decided to bypass that bit ,,, ,,, We did see it though :laugh:And thanx again for the card
See you thru the week for a beer mate

Am interested to see the difference in detail actually, sounds great.
I found the Shonky worked pretty well for the ride we did last weekend, Ace & I ran different zoom levels (80m lead rider & 120 or 200m 3rd rider) We very rarely missed a turn, missed none actually just turned in late on a few :laugh:On the subject of card,,,, Did Chicken do a runner with the funds Sat night ????? :woohoo:
Cheers
:pinch: :pinch: :pinch:
