Pretty fast track, I’d be crapping myself on that! Give me an endurocross track that I can fluff around on instead!

Dunno mate, you?
Rocket, you’re a Shhhhhhhhhhht stirrer!
I’ve never known this thread to be left alone for so long, what’s the story? Are we somehow less full of shit lately?
Actually, I’d recommend not attaching it to the camelback strap. Axel broke his shoulder with his GPS attached there I believe. It was bad luck but that is something that seems to happen, again and again!
Hoping to get an ACR unit shortly, I like the system.

Singletrackmind got in touch with me about this post regarding distress beacons.
I am a rescue helicopter crewman with ten years experience and am also a dealer for ACR distress beacons.
Personally I would steer clear of the SPOT beacons as they run off a different satellite network and NOT the Cospas Sarsat Network.
I am just knocking off work but I will put a more detailed post later today.
NJ just purchased a ACR ResQlink PLB off me. They come with a six year battery life, no annual subscriptions and now come with a free ACR Firefly Strobe light and First Aid Kit. They are nice and small also.
Please check back for my next post
Cheers
TurnstyleInterested, very interested!
Worth a look, those guys are seriously fit!
Thanks guys, we will get the forks out and have a look at whether they are bent, and if they are, how badly.
Sounds good mate, just give me as much notice as possible, weekends seem to get swallowed up months in advance lately. And hey, even an ADV ride is better than mowing the lawn!
The responses to this thread is why Old Bulls is such a great forum!
Yep, TB is spot on, a phone can’t work as well as a dedicated GPS. Its just the nature of the beast, a phone is a phone first and a GPS about 15th. The phones built-in GPS antennas are small and built to a price, which affects the speed of lock and accuracy of the determined position. In the same way, hand-held navigational style GPS units are a far cry from survey accurate units. Horses for courses.
Uncalled for Snowy, seriously mate, chill with the anti-Adv stuff. Things like this detract from the great site we have here. Each to their own for one thing, and TB can ride rings around most trail riders (on a big fat adv bike) for seconds.
Sadly I can’t make the hills of gold due to band commitments.
All the best with it though!

Mate, I understand that you’ve not been married that long, but as I understand things, the ladies prefer us lads not to throw their ages about too much! Good on you though, for marrying a girl at least 20 years younger than you!
