Mick you may have yours for the weekend, what day does the Cob & Co ride into town this week?
TB
Man I hope I get mine for this weekend! Got a nice little secret ride planned with a couple of mates… You’ll see the ride report, rest assured!
You got that right! I wonder if photoshop existed back in those days? I wonder if computers existed?!
Ah ha! A Safari tank exists for the WR250F which is about 15.5 litres and costs about $449 or so (probably about $500 with delivery). http://www.rvaqualine.com.au/page.php?sId=3
Knew I’d figure it out eventually!
There is definately a long-range tank out there, ut for the life of me I can’t remember who makes the things! I’ll get back to you.
In the meantime check out http://www.nomadtanks.com.au/
Ah come on guys, what a copout! It was a tough call for me, particularly for the workshop, but if I had to pick just one it would be my screwdriver. You must have one tool that each time you use you think to yourself: “Geez I’m glad I got that!”
Have you considered a Nomad tank? One of the bum tanks that goes on the rear fender? That would get you about the 14 litre mark and is easily removed and replaced.
“These bloody trophies get bigger every year!”
Seriously though, isn’t that phrase (lightweight XR600) an oxymoron, like “army intelligence”?
Yep, had the same problem with my B&B to the point where the bolts came loose enough to let the plate move around and then bend the bolts.

Quote:Cool ECKS, just remembered I got the manuals from Mick and 50mm + or – 5mm is the spec, you tha manYes folks, this is what is known as a JAG!
I’d take credit if I had any idea but I’m afraid I just don’t! Cheers for lucky guesses!
Tried them, they sent me to the saddler, who was either closed for the holidays or for good – couldn’t tell. I then tried the camping/fishing shop – no joy. There are times when living in a small town can be a pain!
Bugger. Nothing local. I hate trips to Dubbo to get a $2 bit.
Thanks Chris… might be a trip to the “big smoke” (Dub-vegas or Orange) to get it then…
Might slip down to the local camping shop and see. You never know. Back shortly.
Who are you setting the sag for? If it is for you I’d suggest about 50mm! 😆
Sorry, I have nothing useful for you mate! :S
