    I have been communicating with Allen from Pivot Pegz this morning regarding some up and coming things we are going to do here at OBT and he said the OBT order through Battye’s was placed yesterday and shipped yesterday as well.

    Good job Pivot Pegz !!

    Ah ha! A Safari tank exists for the WR250F which is about 15.5 litres and costs about $449 or so (probably about $500 with delivery). http://www.rvaqualine.com.au/page.php?sId=3

    Knew I’d figure it out eventually! :P

    There is definately a long-range tank out there, ut for the life of me I can’t remember who makes the things! I’ll get back to you.

    In the meantime check out http://www.nomadtanks.com.au/

    Ah come on guys, what a copout! It was a tough call for me, particularly for the workshop, but if I had to pick just one it would be my screwdriver. You must have one tool that each time you use you think to yourself: “Geez I’m glad I got that!”

    Have you considered a Nomad tank? One of the bum tanks that goes on the rear fender? That would get you about the 14 litre mark and is easily removed and replaced.

    “These bloody trophies get bigger every year!”

    Seriously though, isn’t that phrase (lightweight XR600) an oxymoron, like “army intelligence”?:P

    Yep, had the same problem with my B&B to the point where the bolts came loose enough to let the plate move around and then bend the bolts. :angry:

    The following is actually from a post I put up in ‘honda wins Dakar’ thread

    However I think that others may want to contribute or disagree.

    (I put Honda in ama mx because they would have to win something this year)

    i reckon for 09

    wec = bmw
    aorc = yamaha
    aussie safari = ktm
    dakar = ktm
    ama sx = suzuki
    ama mx = honda
    aussie sx = mmm…. suzuki
    finke = ktm
    a4de = yamaha

    Since I have a good record on jagging answers I’ll have a crack:

    WEC = Gas Gas
    AORC = Yamaha
    Aus Safari = Honda
    Dakar = KTM
    AMA SX = Yamaha
    AMA MX = Kawasaki
    Aus SX = Honda
    Finke = Honda
    A4DE = BMW

    Tried them, they sent me to the saddler, who was either closed for the holidays or for good – couldn’t tell. I then tried the camping/fishing shop – no joy. There are times when living in a small town can be a pain!

    Bugger. Nothing local. I hate trips to Dubbo to get a $2 bit. :angry:

    Thanks Chris… might be a trip to the “big smoke” (Dub-vegas or Orange) to get it then…

    Might slip down to the local camping shop and see. You never know. Back shortly.

    Who are you setting the sag for? If it is for you I’d suggest about 50mm! 😆

    Sorry, I have nothing useful for you mate! :S
