Me, I reckon you might just be rubbing it in a touch eh TB?!

Damn, Moto, fine effort there. I’ll say this for you, you do know how to have a stack mate! Bike 100% ok and a decent injury for yourself, complete with concussion! Lovely!:S

Great ride report guys, special mention to TB for setting the standard and Moto’s effort was good too, well done! I’m having flashbacks to my effort at Christmas last year… mmmm emergency rooms at Christmas!

    Hi Chris,

No, nothing exciting anyway! Just serviced her yesterday and put an aftermarket LED taillight/numberplate holder on but otherwise still as I got it! My excuse is that I have been away over the Chrissy break! Only had one brief ride over the whole time and that was just a shakedown to get the feel for balance points, sliding points and so on. Will be back into it all shortly now though – providing the temps drop below 40° occasionally.

    Anything new with your beastie?

Apparently pool filter skins are cheaper than bike-specific ones but are exactly the same. Yet to test the theory, but intend to do so shortly considering the amount of dust around and the forecast for bugger-all rain in the next month or so!

Mine is running 14/52 and will do over 100 easily enough. Wouldn’t want to sit on anything over about 90 for any length of time though. By the same token you wouldn’t want the first couple of gears to be any higher. Seems like a good compromise to me.

Might be worth making a thread with just the offer and orders TB? Make it clear to all exactly what is going on?

I hate telemarketers. Someone should blow them up. Especially when they call me at work trying to sell a new phone plan or an american express card or printer cartridges or a free holiday. Worse somehow, is the robot/s that keep calling here and when you answer the line is dead. You just know you’ll be getting a waste of time phone call soon after. Pricks, the lot of them!

You gone then Moto? Ok, I’m posting here purely so that this thread has someone other than moto as the last poster in it! Anyone looked at the list of latest posts in threads lately? Moto is the last poster in almost every one, must love having the last word! Either that or he’s a pom!

    The end! :)

Why are you YELLING AT ME I only made a light hearted joke, whats wrong mate? Is it getting things ready for your visitors, OMG! did that thing happen again last nite? They say it happens to some men sometimes, don’t worry mate maybe your putting to much pressure on yourself to perform

    TB

Don’t worry TB, as an engineer, Moto was probably doing some CAD drafting, where everything is done in capitals, and simply forgot to take off the Caps-lock key! Happens all the time! Right Moto?

(Ya gotta have the excuses ready for when it happens Moto, I’m sure your therapist told you about that!!)

Boys, as an ex-banana owner I can recommend getting the suspension done. I used Jay Foreman Racing in Newcastle (Jay Foreman Racing Pty Ltd U3/ 9 Sandringham Ave Thornton NSW 2322(02) 4966 8097)

Jay did the RG3 suspension upgrade for me. I posted him the forks and rear shock with details of my weight, riding style and where I ride. It came back within a week which was pretty impressive. I miss that suspension.. man it was so nice. Plush enough to soak up the rocks and roots up to about wrist diameter but didn’t bottom out on the larger hits. I cannot speak highly enough of it. Total cost, including postage was $650. Bargain! Give him a call!

Depending on how early an ‘early’ start is, I’d be keen for this one as well. Probably wouldn’t camp (only an hour from home, maybe less) but definately keen on the riding!

Sounds like a great day! I’m often in Orange so it will be a good start point. Another option from here instead of Dubbo is to head Mudgee way. There are some great little back roads through there towards the back end of Burrendong Dam and then maybe along the eastern side of the dam back to Hill End and Long Point? Ah options, gotta love it!
