Do they come in OTG (over the glasses)?
Scotty wrote:Does this mean a postie bike that is even smaller, lighter and has smoother power would be the ultimate single track weapon. 👿Auto clutch, no need for a recluse! (Not too sure about the “lighter” thing though!)
I’ve taken Honda CT90’s places you’d not believe in the past though! The things we do as kids eh!
I’m a subscriber to the smaller is faster theory. Flog a 250F and you’ll be faster and less stuffed than most blokes on a 450F – but not all. For an average trail rider I reckon a 250F is enough, like the perfect ice cream, and a 450 is like a choc dip ice cream with a flake – bloody awesome, but an unnecessary indulgence. 👿

Very nice ride after you had the suspension done. We will see you on the trails then!Cheers Axel, really looking forward to getting back in to the single trail stuff. Time is limited, but I won’t be losing sleep about this bike sitting in the shed in between rides!
Are you going to the Catombal Rally on the long weekend in June?

Smart looking bike there mate
bags of fun ahead of you.
Bol :woohoo:Thanks Bol! Nothing too flash, but I reckon I’ll surprise the shit out of a lot of blokes who judge a rider by their bike!
Yeah, ‘ken oath Chris! I figure the DRZ will do everything I want it to from (limited) road miles to single trail. Can’t wait to get it registered so that I can piss off that godawful tail end with massive blinkers …
Any reason you did it as a user rather than a page? Facebook is an easy way to get your message to people (from a business point of view), just have to be careful about what you put on there. Another option would be a group, but you lose a lot of control of things that way.
I’d be setting up a page rather than having it as a user. Happy to help with that if you like.
Yeah, sucks. At Wellington near Dubbo we have had more rain than most areas around, but it is still looking bloody awful. The worst part is the negative affect on people’s morale, there’s nothing quite like a bunch of depressed farmers!
Yeah, but if you want some serious bark-burning light, have a look at these: 1000 Lumen T6 CREE LED Lights
Got one for the mountain bike and it is unbelievable! On the MTB it is literally too bright on full power, although this might be good on a faster moving “gasoline-powered” machine (these new fandangled things!) For the price, bloody good! Also comes with a strap to stick it on your head which I have used when crawling under my house, which usually seems to happen at night for some reason!
As far as battery powered CREE LED lights go, this is the schnizzle!Yep, very true. A mate has a DRZ250, and is talking about painting the tank. I said it would more than likely peel off in no time and he would be better chasing a new sticker kit. I would be interested to see how long paint would last, I’d imagine less than 12 months.

Wondered about that, it was the reason I asked!
Thanks mate, might give Tee N Cee a call.
Amazing graphics on those bikes, great stuff.
Question for those who have might know (TB?) – Does Tee N Cee or any of the others do stickers for the fuel tanks on older bikes like the XR, DRZ250, TTR, etc? If so, do they cope with the vapours bleeding through the tank any better than the stock versions?Ace wrote:How do you pronounce that brand PTW? :laugh:Nice boots Scotty!
Yeah, nice boots Scotty!
Gaerne : pronounced Gay-Ernie
(True fact!)
Keen to meet Watto at some stage! Hope he is feeling better!
axel wrote:POS parts? Land Rover of course!Beat me to that guess mate!

The last Southend Watto’s ride saw us turning around on one of the nicer singles, due to fallen trees and vines.
This single is now clear again for all to enjoy
Bloody hard work carrying a chainsaw through and maybe next time we’ll try and open “3 Ruts”Have also found a place for a new very interesting kind of single. 👿
Cheers
Murph…of course, that is IF you were ever to consider making single track. We all know only to do that on private property, don’t we! And we would never post on the internet saying we had taken a chainsaw into national park or anything like that, unless we were joking!!
Big brother may not always be watching, but even paranoid people are right sometimes!
We just have to be a little bit careful about how much of what we say can be taken as fact in case someone from NPWS or whatever decides to get narky.
Of course, if some unknown person decided to make or repair single track, well that’s a bonus!
