Boony wrote:How does a ttr600 for under 3k sound Ecks?.
Don’t know those bikes Boony, but I reckon a 600 will be a bit much in tight single. I’m not TB who can punt a red tractor through anything known to man!

Ok, link not working. Nice DR350 on ebay up Coffs. No doubt if you have been searching ebay you would be onto it.
Yep, watching that one, looks good!
white rocket wrote:yep go the xr400 the others are to SLOW on and of the road in reality buying around here any of the above you can find in good nick at the right price if thats the kind of bike you like .should be able to get a drz400 for 3000 xr is prably a better bike but .or just wake up and get a 012 or newer ktm450exc great bike will do the above well and you mite even enjoy doing it(just had to add that in because i want one)Good onya Al!
Trying to think of something different but good. Found a SuziTS200 on gum tree.. gawdawfully ugly, but they were alright back in the day… for a 2-Banger.
Of the new generation of liquid cooled bikes, the WRF’s are good and reliable, but good ones are out of budget…
Thanks for the insight TB!!
No, been there, not really keen to go back!
Good bikes, but…
Yeah, like the idea of a DR350 or XR400. Kickstart only, but much better power…
Still open to other ideas though!
Had a bit of interest, so if you’re interested get in quick…
axel wrote:Wow. It did look clean. I’ll offer him half for you and see how it goes.If he wants more than half, I’d also chuck in two bob and a pickled egg! (But not a penny more!)
axel wrote:Hey Ecks there is one in Erskin St Dubbo. Out on the street with a sign on it. Didn’t have a chance to stop and hav a look yet. It looked like a 250. You interested still?Yep, saw that one, it must be either nearly new or gold-plated – he wants $5500!
No, thanks mate, that one is off the market. Appreciate your willingness to help out though! Beers on me when we get together next!
Bah, sold. :S
Next!
Always ride for the Monday afterwards. Being self employed, I am always pretty cautious on a bike. Not lacking confidence, but always thinking ahead. Reckon it has saved me more than once. I ain’t quick, but I make it home in one piece.
OK blokes, who in the Port Macquarie area can check out a bike for me? Yet to hear from the advertiser, but hope to have more info tomorrow. :S
Dunger or diamond… which will it be?!
Why no Tenere this time TB? You’d be loving the XR, surely!
Scotty wrote:The later model DR350 is a good thing Ecks. I nearly bought one before I got the Husky. Some say the DRZ400 was a backwards step from the 350.What about an RMX? plenty of them going cheap.
Yeah, like the idea of the 350, but they are rare and good ones are not cheap, well, not as cheap as my budget! Been looking for one for ages as a project, thought I had one there for a while but it fell through.
Why not an RMX? Well, because deep down inside, I love my 250 4-strokes, and have a soft spot for the DR & DRZ’s! I have never been a 2-stroke bloke, although I have ridden some crackers. I feel comfortable on a 250 4-t and that’s about it!
