Agreed Menace, couldn’t have put it better myself! B)

T’was tough living in Tamworth and not enjoying the drivel they pump out for three weeks in January each year!

Actually, I tend to listen to CD’s or MP3’s more than radio lately. Getting into the old-time Big Band stuff as inspiration for our band in Orange. So I guess I can’t criticise Country – ah who am I kidding, of course I can!

Mine’s a clever play on words based on my initials plus a ring-in. It’s meant to be pronounced like X-Man – Deep down I’m an ex comic-geek! Still have my collection of Batman comics sitting in a box gathering dust.. I mean increasing in value! B)

    Nice report AB. B)

You might want to think about taking magnesium tablets leading up to and during a ride. They help with cramping – a lot. Also, some sport drink helps. I usually run 1/3 strength in my camelbak and don’t get cramps much any more. :)

ABlue, Picton are great blokes and also there is a Sherco dealer in Narromine (miles away from you I know, but…) He is a top bloke and has a 2.5i as a demo bike at the moment…

It seems pretty unreasonable to me, for there to be any question of Mal’s 300 being anything other than a fault from factory. Even if we disregard warranty in this case for a minute, the whole slow process is just not good enough. As Mal said he is lucky he has the Sherco to ride in the meantime, but if it were me in this situation I’d be without a bike – and totally pissed off.

To be honest I don’t think this is an issue with Husky warranty as such. More the slow paperwork side of things that has fouled it up. That being said, I don’t put much stock in warranty on dirt bikes. As long as the major things like engine/gearbox are covered for a reasonable amount of riding. And it appears as though the actual problem here IS covered, it is the delay that is the problem.

Cheers you blokes, I’ll try not to let it go to my head, ok? :P

I’m trying to work out the hourly rate based on what I was paid… but I don’t think my calculator goes to that many decimal places! $0.0000000000003… :woohoo:

Had a letter published in the Azimuth once Mick, then had the bugger from the Department of Lands call me and chew my ear for half an hour explaining why I was wrong!!

Funny thing, I had 6 other surveyors call me and agree with my comments 100% – but what do we know eh!? B)

TB in other threads you have said I am confussed so set me straight here,

TB How many hours did you expect out of the MA , now that it has been established that 50 gazillion hours were put on by Mick and it was secondhand when he started…..and you are dirty at this??….Just checking, I know your paranoia about orange, and I understand it because I am the same with Green and yellow, the blue and red I tolerate, just,
So to recap you are upset that the main bearing went after all these hours of power display, I still recall your story about some fancy racer at one of the ride parks that Kieran Blew away continually and the Dad got the shits and packed up and went home, Oh thats right you never mention the good, So answer me this , whats the expectation you have of these, to go forever on one set of bearings,
I wonder if there was another 50cc make out there that put out the power the KTM did, would it last as long, it never ceases to amaze me that so called mechanically literate people dont have a firm grasp on mechanical cause and effect, you get nothing for nothing my friend, You expect (at least by your reactions it looks as if you expect full new performance with the second hand half sized price tag

I cannot afford to buy new bikes for my to little racers, so second hand is the only option, when you have not been the one to service from the beginning you never know.

As far as the 85 goes, How come I only just find out now about the problem, dont forget Mate, I have only spoken over the phone with this one, I have not seen it at all, I am only saying seal from what you describe, How many second hand bikes are sold with the type of Backup I provide, None, I have even been told by some, “its second hand they are paying half price for it so the thing is worn, thats why the cheaper price, why are you giving it full price support when you didnt get full price”

Also as far as ECKS-Man saying

    Bloody hell, that’s saying something!

Not without reason I’d reckon. Definately bike faults TB, obviously?

How many of these KTM 50 have you owned or been involved with, dont say stuff with out knowing you look as stupid as the person you are trying to suck up to, “Bike faults” what a crock of shit, go to any 50cc race in the country and the KTM’s are dominant, why because they cant be beaten, and they get big hours with the right treatment, and TB before you get on you high horse, the thing got the right treatment from you I am sure , but a worn out bearing will still fail with the right treatment when its expiry date is done.

    So answer me
What did you expect TB and
    was it realistic,
Take the “I love Honda/I hate KTM” glasses off and look at it impartially if you can

Dave you have taken my comments a bit wrong mate, I was trying to work out what was going on. My post was really more of a comment on the serverity of TB’s reaction, and you will notice the use of question marks? That means I was asking the question.

No problem though, I will back out of the room and leave you gentlemen to your spat!

    hey ecks

it was beemie that recommended pie in the sky. i just want to go there (maybe this weekend :) )

the shop i recommended is at portree on the isle of sky. you can/could get a pastie, cake and milkshake for 3 pound 20. racy actually had this written in an email.

correction. i said before that it was advised to us, not to buy 5 pounds worth because you couldn’t eat it all. going by racy’s email, the figure was actually 3 pound.

every we ate (the group of us ate nearly ate the whole shop) was awesome yummiest. we don’t why they are so cheap because as far as we knew they were the only pie shop in the village.

maybe they use secret ingredients like the pie shop at beaudesert

i also noted the pie dude at newcastle farmers markets. i think it is the same guy as between kurri and cessnock. maybe called dinkim pie or something (i think it could be a franchise) mmm… i want a pie now.
