Mick, what kinda journo are you? It’s LOSE not Loose ya goose!
Boony, dude, you’re hurting my eyes with that headlight sunshine! I have seen better looking XR’s!
I reckon those stock blinkers have to go too, they are bloody massive, especially compared to the new shroud up front.
As a self employed surveyor I have a very comprehensive policy through NAB’s insurance side (they handle all our finances). It costs me abouit $2600 annually which provides me with a pretty substantial income to cover my expenses. There are a million different options but for goodness sake talk to more than one broker. If you are interested I can give you the name and number of the lady I deal with because she put it in easy to understand terms and didn’t try to sell me crap I didn’t need. (It will be tomorrow before I can get the info for you though.)
I am covered for trail riding as well as competition on the bike too.
Cheers,
ECKS
Nice machine mate! From what I hear these bergs are the bees knees! Just wondering about the ergos, apparently the peg/seat/bar relationship is a bit cramped for taller riders – what are your thoughts?
Congrats!
Personally I don’t back either brand and don’t watch the race. Old school was where it was at, even to the stage of the Sierras and Nissan’s kicking butt. Sad that once it was clear that all other brands had moved ahead of the Falcon/Commodore they closed it up and made it a two horse race. Still, there is always the 24 hour race and what have you. I reckon that’s a true test, basically standard cars up against each other as it used to be.
Just out of interest, I also have it on good authority that the race at Bathurst is the second largest single police operation annually in NSW. The largest is New Years Eave in Sydney.
That being said, it would be an experience and a half to go and watch it. More so if you are into that kinda thing!
I’ll (hopefully) be riding instead this year!
A teacher is explaining biology to her 4th grade students. ‘Human Beings are the only animals that stutter’, she says.
A little girl raises her hand. ‘I had a kitty-cat who stuttered’, she volunteered.
The teacher, knowing how precious some of these stories could become, asked the girl to describe the incident. ‘Well’, she began, ‘I was in the back yard with my kitty and the Rottweilerr that lives next door got a running start and before we knew it, he jumped over the fence into our yard!’
That must have been scary’, said the teacher.
‘It sure was’, said the little girl. ‘My kitty raised his back, went Ffff ‘Fffff, Fffff, Fffff’…And before he could say ‘Fuck’, the Rottweiler ate him!’The teacher wet her pants laughing…

I TOLD you, no photos! The guys at OBT still believe that I have boy-band good looks! If this photos appears anywhere they can find it… You’re dead!

You bastard, you KNEW I was allergic to bees when you led us through those beehives!!!
Man, that is SUCH a great deal! I’m not a huge fan of Pivot Pegz, but if you have not tried them this is the way to do it! Buy them, try them and more than likely you’ll love them!
If you don’t like them, you can sell them for what you paid (if not more) easily – yes, that is the voice of experience!
I may have mentioned this before, but I LOVE those machines and you are a lucky lucky bastard Robo! Drooling just thinking about it!
Chris, I’ll swap mine (with a cash adjustment) if you’re interested! Still leaves you with a bike to sell though I guess…
Good onya Boony! The ol’ banana will benefit from some weight saving, and taking the headlight off is a good start, making the bars easier to swing and reducing the weight up high a bit.
As much as there is a limit to what you can achieve with a DRZ, you know what you expect (which is not a miracle, just a noticeable difference) and I think you are on the right track. Wouldn’t worry about the exhaust myself, but tis up to you.
Now, where’s the piccies mate!!??!!
Oh bugger, I missed the actual day, but best wishes Racy!
Champo, you must have been a martyr in a previous life to deserve such a top chick in this one!

Some clown scanned that slide backwards – check it out, mirror reverse!
Nice Bol, although the white always gets grubby and scuffed up, it does look pretty when it is clean and new!
Gotta get myself up for a ride with you blokes again! No, don’t bother asking, the Upper Horton PE is out! But I will get there!
