There are some rocky parts right up the back.I have a Carsbad on the back of the Husky and it’s going ok. Has got me up most hills and even gripped enough to flip on one hill. What issues have you had with them ECKS?
Not happy with the grip – at least where I generally ride (Catombal etc). Louee is similar riding conditions to Catombal incidentally. They just don’t hang on in the hard shaley loose rock. Especially hate the fronts, but wouldn’t get one, front or rear, again. Not with so many other better options out there.

Quote:Well after recent events I have decided that after 7,500K’s of riding and my high revving, alot of noise, not alot of action riding style I’ve decided to give the old girl a major overhaul before Coffs this weekend.I have Thursday off so cintend to do all the work myself before leaving Friday.
As opposed to the normal monthly service of being washed I have bought a new air filter, a whole new can of chain lube, a spark plug and a new clutch lever.
Hopefully I’ll get it all done in time. I have to admit it’s a pain owning such a labour intensive KTM.
Wow, that’s serious mate, I hope you can get it all done! Do you think it might also be worth checking the tyre pressure while you are on the go?
Nice work, good reliability that!
Same here, I’d like one. Let me know the details and I’ll deposit the $$ then let you know where to post it.
My thoughts as well. Not any kind of expert, but it seems pretty much standard procedure for the 250EXCF’s. Oil in the airbox = rings.
O-Ring should be fine mate. They all do similar jobs and despite claims to the contrary I don’t think any particular type lasts longer than another. A lot of that is rider and bike dependent anyway. Just my two cents.
Oh, so you’re THAT Gareth that Mal is always bitching about!! Welcome mate!
Hope to catch you on the trails!
Nice buy there KD!
I was going to suggest one of these lights for your banana, I reckon they look great:
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/195/7297/ITEM/Acerbis-CE-DOT-Certified-DHH-Headlight.aspxBut they don’t appear to come in yellow any more.
I’m sure you will sort it out!
Cheers!

Quote:I just happened to notice that I was on 299 posts and because most of the stuff that I post is usually crap I thought I would spend a little bit of time on the 300th post.Hence an ode to old bulls. For those who I haven’t mentioned I apologise because it’s hard to remember everyone. I am not very good at this sort of thing but I think you’ll get the jist.
OBT Spirit
I love the old bull spirit,
I just have to say,
I love that everyone is welcoming,
It seems to be the old bull way.I love the pre-ride excitement,
Before a big day,
I love the effort that is taken,
To ensure the ride goes OK.I love the old bulls network,
Everyone’s willing to lend a hand,
Nothing is too much to ask,
Isn’t that just grand?I love the passion that TB has
For organising the big events
Although that he sometimes finds
That the site can get a bit tense.I love the varying characters,
That the site seems to attract,
Theres Moto, Champo and Novice,
Need I say more than that.I love that Menace is a toughy,
Until you get to see,
That beneath that tough exterior,
He’s a softy just like me.I love that Eagle is so considerate,
Of others on the site,
He’s always got some nice words to share,
Except when TB wants a bite. :laugh:I love my friend Racy Tracy,
Who rides better all the time,
I love that she’s so passionate,
And really likes to climb.I love the way that Boony,
Comes across as being a dick,
But when you actually talk to him,
You find he’s not really a hick. :laugh:I love that Boulder is like a Dad,
For those that are on a ride,
He takes good care of everyone,
He’s good to have by your side.I love that Chris is our IT guy,
Cause I know that when it all goes to shit,
He’ll sort out all our problems,
With his trusty IT kit.I love our northern neighbours,
MickandMeld and Moose,
They are such laid back characters,
But maybe it’s all a ruse.I love when MickG & Superunit,
Are able to come on one of the rides,
As they make it much more memorable,
They’ll have you splitting your sides.I love going on a ride with Bollocks,
Cause he brings you morning tea,
Even though he’s lugged the thermos,
To cater for twenty-three. :blink:I love our ride whore Jeffro,
Who is currently overseas,
Otherwise he’d be on every ride,
As long as he has his keys.I love that Sammy’s bike is nearly ready,
For our Chistmas at Louee,
I can’t wait to ride with her,
I hope she feels the same about me.I love Chop’s Banana,
And I have to thank him for the time,
That he let me ride it and fall in love,
It’s really very sublime.I love my husband DanD,
Because he puts up with my obsession,
With bikes, bikes and more bikes,
Even though it might put us in recession. :kiss:I love that I love old bulls,
It really makes me feel,
Kinda special to be part of a group,
That makes riding real unreal.Cheers guys, I had that impression (knew you are friends) but anyone reading this without that knowledge would think we are like a buncha bitchy little girls!
Now you boys play nice!
Dr ECKS!
You know, I haven’t read this thread. I thought is was a technical discussion and as such was on a topic not of any interest to me.
You lot oughta be ashamed, some of these posts are ridiculous, chipping at each other “he said, she said blah blah blah!”
Guys, this is Old Bulls! Get with it! If you have a disagreement over something that’s ok, but FFS keep things cool!
Yeah, I embarrass myself sometimes mate!
