BTW GasGas will be releasing a 250 4 stroke with a Yamaha WR engine!! not sure if it is injected or Carb, but knowing Gasgas it will be injected:woohoo:

Heard that, and saw pics on another forum. It looks like the stock standard WRF motor to me, no injection. I was disappointed in Gas Gas that they didn’t make more of an effort in that respect.

Now if you want a horny 250 4T look at the Sherco 2.5i….. wow, just wow!

Being as how this is a Gasser thread though, I have to say I don’t particularly like black plastics on any bike, even Gas Gas.

Not a bad report for a first effort Axel, I’ll give you a 6/10 – needs more effort! Your pics have come through awfully blocky – are they uploaded direct to this site?

KTM wiring, not their strongest point! Bet Grant was unimpressed about it!

Nothing wrong with a banana, blokes! In the hands of a capable rider they are a secret weapon! I would even say they are THE most underrated trailbike out there at the moment, with a TTR250 a close second.

Have yet to see PC Plod on the trails (riding anyway) at all, but rangers make a regular appearance.

Today we packed the trailer and ute reaady for Dave to head off tomorrow. I snapped a few piccies of the bike for anyone interested in that sort of thing! The specs are: Husky TE610, 2007 model. Safari tank (17 litres?), Nomad bum tank (5 litres), Scott steering damper, MD Roadbook holder (motorised), heated grips, custom water tank on bash plate. Michy Desert tyres with Mousse in the front. Dust light (custom wiring by ECKS with custom bracket fabrication by Dave). Tecknik have done the suspension – I was not involved with that so don’t know the specifics of what was done. Two tripmeters (ICO) and a custom fairing/bracket for it all. Doherty Smith & Associates Consulting Surveyors (that’s me, I’s a SPONSOR baby!) stickers (add at least 40% more torque) and Trang Imagineering (that’s Dave) stickers (reduce wind resistance by 27% and increase top speed by 13km/h)! At the moment there is a bit of blank space but we have a heap of sponsor stickers to go on (Michelin, West Australia, the Safari itself) that are compulsary. I suspect some will end up stuck to the bottom of the bashplate or something! There is possibly more, but that’s a brief summary!

She’s a heavy thing to wheel around, but I hope at racing speeds it will be better mannered.

Anyway enough jibber jabber, here’s the bike:

I love it when I am in the Zone and can enjoy it!

I love “punching above my weight” – riding a 250 4t and giving the big bangers a run!

I love the feel of a new helmet on my spud of a head!

I love seeing a mate have a stack – actually only when he isn’t hurt and the bike is OK!

I love being shitscared of doing something and then nailing it – the feeling afterwards is AWESOME!

I love it when a bloke you have seen start to ride at the beginning of their riding career gets to the stage where he is as fast as you – or faster!

I love wheeling the bike off the ute before a ride… :)

I love this thread! Karma Dan!
