Yeah no joke, how bad was Sunny Corner last year?? Dead-set shocker! Nearly enough to turn me off the whole thing actually!
My goggles fogged and I ran out of clean dry rags, so they went in the backpack, then the glasses fogged and were beyond usable… I’ve been annoyed by the goggle problem for a while now, so I hope this sorts it out for me.

Always a trap, having a dry sense of humour on the interamanetweb!
Hey, how about that dude on the bike though!

If the foam seal breaks down, can it be repaired with silastic or something similar? I guess they are $26 for the lens so it isn’t the end of the world.
One thing I insist on is clear vision when riding. I hate dirty goggles (or glasses)!
Chris, if you want dust and fog at the same time, come for a ride with me out this way sometime! It is not uncommon! (Also not pleasant!)

Scotts were his recommendation. I have ordered a set and will let you know how they go at my Harveys ride this long weekend.
I have tried all the usual solutions including Rain-x, Mr Sheen and anti-fog single lenses but no joy – and I’m sick of it! I hope these buggers work Rat and if they do I’m shouting you a beer or three!
This is a tough one TB. I don’t know what to advise you Austblue, because as TB said it could end in tears or everything could be fine. I have to say that 90% of blokes I know would not pull the bike down, just change the oil, increase the oil change frequency for the next few changes and check for metal in the waste oil. In so saying, it could be that 90% of blokes I know are wrong!
Great stuff Al, I think it will be ideal conditions out there!

XR 650R STUFF
Gotchya 01-06-09 12:09Missed it by 5 minutes Mick! Mind you, how quick was TB… 1 minute after the first post! Now that’s fast!
What is this “water” you speak of?
Nah, actually it is pissisting down here today! I have not ridden in really wet conditions since about 1990, when we did the Harvey Ranges and the entire way was at least 6 inches of water! Luckily I had my stylish riding attire on at the time – overalls and gumboots! I did wear a helmet though!
All good advice there, and we should all carry enough bits and bobs to get ourselves going in such an event. It is a looooong push home after all!
Hmm, missed this thread before, but here’s what I know about it. Yes, apparently the grey wire mod makes a noticable difference, particularly on the 450’s, less so on the 250’s (makes sense really). The wire can be set up with a switch if you want, but the switch will have no affect while the bike is actually running as the CDI unit only looks for it on startup. So to switch between WR and YZ maps you have to turn the bike and ignition off then restart.
I have not checked if mine is done – I must get around to that one day!
Just a note for future threads, try to pick the title carefully as Hold On doesn’t give us any idea what is in the thread!
Self portrait Boony?
Well if you blokes are keen, lets make it the Monday, meet on the Tomingley Road where the access road to the park goes in, at 8am. We should be able to get in a couple of loops in the day at least. Bring fuel for 200+km.
TB, you’re on, we will tee a ride up for sure! Failing that we are sorting out some tracks around Orange and could use some more local knowledge. Will let you know when it happens.
