Well done TB, you’re a gentleman and a top bloke to go with it! No wonder OBT rides are so damn good! B)

Good luck Aiden with the healing process. Be sure to slip TB an invoice for the bike hire – we all know he’s loaded!

OBT doesn’t like me today I had a reply typed in and the site logged me out and it is gone, consigned to the ether…

I’m a surveyor and spend my days either measuring land, calculating on the computer, driving all over the state, hitting things (like survey pegs) with a hammer, playing with my chainsaw, riding my bike (to check out rural jobs of course), locating marks from over 100 years ago, dealing with Councils, the RTA, the RFS and generally doing good work wherever I go. I’m self employed and have done it real tough in the last 6 months or so but it now looks better and we are trying to catch up on lost time and money! B)

I’m also an Admiral here in my spare time, because people admire me so much!

Sadly no, just a glitch in the systems somewhere! Happens to the best of us – I think it is when you log in from different computers. I have logged in (historically) from 5 computers over the time I have been here which may be why I show up 5 times? Just a theory!

Go the DRZ by the way! :)

All I can tell you Eagle is that the bloke running the course said that as a surveyor, even if I want to go on to railway land to locate ONE mark I am supposed to contact the nearest ARTC office and arrange for an escort, permit and timetable of trains in the area. Its ridiculous and no surveyor would do that in most cases unless they were spending any decent amount of time in the railway corridor. The railway corridor is in the control of ARTC and is not a crown road.

That being said, you would have to be caught for it to be a problem. Where are you looking at this railway service road Boony?

I did a track safety awareness course and use of the railway service roads is certainly not legal. Some places get policed hard, others don’t. Not recommended unless the line is inactive IMO.

Mate, I had Jay do the suspension on my DRZ and it changed the bike completely. I have still not ridden a bike that was so well set up, as in able to take the big hits without bottoming but still plush and DRZ-line in the initial stroke! It cost me $650 including postage which is cheap as chips. That got me new springs front and rear with revalving. I just told him what I weigh, how I ride and what I wanted out of it.

Cannot say enough good things about his work, give him a call for sure!

Actually I don’t recall one DRZ either now that you mention it. :( There wasn’t even an XR there I don’t think, although there were a few CRF’s. A few Yammie’s but otherwise it was largely exotics and KTM’s. There were a lot of Sherco’s for the small bunch that were there I thought. A fair few Gassers too.

We all had a good weekend, it was good fun and good value. As whiterocket said, some of these blokes can REALLY ride! I didn’t have a go at the hillclimb mostly because I reckon I would have made a fool of myself bigtime!

I reckon Louee can be as good or better with the Old Bulls! B)
