That thing sounded wicked! Must have been an absolute handful but he punted it around pretty well! Better than other blokes on newer and lighter bikes anyway!

Cheers mate, first real go at bike pics with the new camera. I think most of them are pretty good. Dave’s bike is pretty, and a real powerhouse. Seems to be reliable too which is important! Yes there is a website http://www.condo750.com.au but the results may not be up yet (there was nothing this morning anyway.)
Yeah, the transport has me second guessing myself about entering next year. If it was more racing less transport I would be a dead certainty to go. As it is my butt cheeks are protesting in advance!
Morning of Day 2
Todd Smith (Winner)
Due to a stuff-up in the directions for the service crews, we missed the first splash and dash (not a huge problem but annoying) so this is the second service for Day 2
Lunchtime Day 2, Euabalong racecourse again. This one has me in it…
Dusty? Nah!
Second service, Day 1
Lunchtime at Euabalong racecourse, day 1
Parc Ferme at end of Day 1
Ooooh, so this is what is in this thread! Tried to read this last night and got nothing, some sort of glitch. Gee, I really missed out didn’t I!?
Mick, it is now YOUR job to settle Menace’s hash with this talk of burning XR’s and banana’s… you started it, you finish it! Best of luck with that!
Day 1
First service, various bikes
Check the state of this bloke and his bike. He was unable to continue, with a dislocated or broken elbow. The bike was not too flash either!
More to come…
They have everything there – EXCEPT fuel… oh and grog! There must be a reason, but I don’t know what it is!
There is about 60-80km of trails Boony, marked in degrees of difficulty. Even a gumby can ride most of the trails if they have a bit of help, but watch out for the hard sections as they can be, well, hard!

GHR mech failure interesting, Hoffman always raves about their reliability lolTB
Yeah, I don’t know what the mechanical problem was, but it was very terminal. The worst part of a DNF for someone like that is that EVERYONE rides past you on their way through! :cheer:
They had quads there this year… man they kick up some serious dirt!!
Mate it was good stuff, but I am hesitant to say I will race it next year. The competitive stuff would be great, but the transport… ewwww! Sunday had 50km to get to the first competitive stage, which was about 100km long, then a 70km competitive followed by 50km transport, lunch, 50km transport and back to competitive of about 70km, then 70km transport back to parc ferme! Just whack the competitive bits back to back will ya!?!
More (and better) pics will follow, but they are all high-res and slow to upload…
Good question TB, I didn’t hear before I left but a quick check of the website has it as Tod Smith! Yamaha got through! It didn’t seem to matter (to me) since my rider Dave made it through in one piece! Jake Smith was out with mechanical faliure early Day 2
Interestingly, Grabham was not at Condo this year and the reason was said to be that he had nothing to prove there, and was saving himself for the A4DE… might have been a good decision!
GHR only had one rider this weekend (One of the Smith boys – Jake?) and about 6 hire bikes on the go. Be interesting to see how many GHR riders front up for the A4DE!
Seems that most blokes have said what I would have said…
…except that I have a 2005 Mazda Bravo “Freestyle Cab” (Space cab or extra cab in other brands) with the suicide doors. I can fit my bike in diagonally with no problems but as mentioned dualcabs have to leave the tailgate down. For that matter, if I put 2 bikes into mine then I have to have the tailgate down too.
I have 110000km on mine and LOVE it. I am thinking about taking advantage of the 30% govt tax rebate dealy and trading up to a BT50 which is more car-like to drive on the road. Hopefully this has not affected the off-road ability, as mine cops a hiding off road at times!
I get about 11 litres per 100km on most trips, as lot as 9.8 on flat 100km/h highway running and as high as 12 on flat-out 130km/h dirt road running (must have been on private property).
Get the right spec level and the interior will be fine compared to cars so look for an SDX Bravo, an SR5 Hilux etc. These came with A/C standard, bullbar, nicer trim, better features.
I also have an X-Trail and love it, but they are not a good tow vehicle, at least not the older models. The new model diesel kicks ass, but that’s a while away for me!
Happy car hunting!
Nah mate, she’s a gonner, and I mean gonner!! It literally sprung apart, bits went flying (to lord knows where!) and sat in the corner sulking. So I have move on and now have a nokia that I don’t hate!
WooHoo! Very flash Chicken! Bloody hell mate, if you ride this one the way you rode the old one, nobody will be able to keep up with you any more!
