Did you get a new helmet after that? Probably should at least check it out, that was a hard hit!
Edit: Menace, good to see the DT’s still getting around! They are such a bulletproof machine! Didn’t go, stop or turn, but hey, those things are overrated anyway! Had to keep slightly on topic!
Shouldn’t have been a problem Mick, but there was over 70MB of stuff in my inbox this morning! Took for ages to download too! It was just full. On the good side I now have about 2 days of work – just to do the quote! Try sending it again, I think it will be OK now!
There are times that I can see it is a good thing (this is the employer side of me talking now) but in general it is harmless. Shame for you blokes though…
Hi Novice, welcome to OBT! Know the self-employed routine well now and have the same attitude as you. Can’t risk no income!
Hope to see you on the trails sometime!
Just a little tip folks! When cleaning an air filter, particularly in petrol, don’t have your mobile phone in your shirt pocket. I tried an experiment mythbusters style on Sunday that involved my phone, a basin of petrol and gravity!
Result? Phone nil, gravity one, petrol three!
Sim survived as did the micro SD card, but the phone is GOOOOOONE!
Well wouldn’t ya know it, Jilly was better the next morning and you wouldn’t know anything was ever wrong! Got my panties in a bunch over bugger-all… kids!
Actually, I prefer Catombal to Louee, as it is much less flogged out. Louee has better MX tracks etc but the trails are all flogged out. Just my opinion. I spend my time equally on OBT and DBW, I get different things from both. Often I find something on DBW and ask here for the real answer because I know that most folks here know their stuff and answer queries better. On DBW you have to sift through a lot more rubbish to find the best reply. Plus I get the benefits of rides and mates from two sites!
Yeah, worst part is I knew I was biting but – well you know what its like when kids get crook… gotta put the frustration somewhere!!
Dang. Condolences Mick.
Bet ya miss the old datto though! What a ripper!

Quote:I got a question ECKS, are you asking people on DBW if they are attending our yearly get together at Louee in September  , which I notice you have not got you name down for yet, it is close enough to your place and has all the things that you are telling about this ride?? Just asking :blink:TB
Sorry, TB, would you like to delete this thread? Fair enough really, you know, what with DBW being a “rival” website and all!
Mate, I wouldn’t presume to invite the scummy people from DBW to one of your rides because as we OBT blokes know they are all mongerals and deserve shooting… I figured if you wanted them there you would invite them yourself?
I have also explained why I have not put my name down for Louee yet, plus there is one more reason that we are not making public as yet, but about that time of year it will all become clear!
Sorry, I really shouldn’t bite, but I’ve just had to deal with a sick and cranky 18 month year old girl!:side:
Just refreshing people’s memories and pointing this ride out to our new members!
This will be a great weekend worth of riding, socialising and possibly a drink or two!
There is still a few weeks left before the early payment fees are gone! Good value!

Well diesel cleans up easier than air filter oil so it would still do the job if you were cleaning the filter in it then washing in detergent of some sort before re-oiling with filter oil I would think. Just not as nice to work with as kero. Correct TB?
Well on the flip side of Champo’s effort, I have seen a KTM300 lock up at 140km/h… he just shut off the throttle and it all went bang. If he had held the clutch in as he decelerated there would have been less chance of it siezing.
2-strokes. Not for me!
