340km!! That is epic!…can you say “numb buttocks” boys and girls!?!
We did 60km… probably took about the same amount of time!
I dunno what it is but I love riding Catombal! Had a fantastic day!
Settle petal, waiting for piccies and vids to upload!
It will be worth the wait!

Quote:Is it the ‘American flair’ or is it just DRZ ownership that makes people do this? :ohmy:Combo of both, the Seppo’s love their DRZ’s fiercely and would breed with them if possible – in fact it is possible that some, in fact, do!
Not really! Just set your sights on a big mother of a hill, like mega steep, first gear stuff. Then try to go up it! You’ll find the clutch will get you up there. Once you are used to that, try it in second gear, third gear and Bob’s yer mother’s brother! Seriously, if you do this I reckon 3 weeks and you won’t have any problems! The DRZ’s have great clutches and can take a fair old hiding!

The second ‘pipe’ is a toolkit or something.

That’s true, if you can get the bigger rear sprocket in without having to change the chain, go that way. I just flogged the hell out of my clutch with my banana. Good skill to have.
Edit: Mate, clutch clutch clutch. Gets you all the power you need any time you need it, stops stalling and saves on sprockets!
Wow, bloody XR’s can’t be killed!! They are like Peter Costello… always hanging around at the back and when they get in front everyone protests! Then stabs them in the back! (Well, ok, maybe that last bit is wishful thinking about something that hasn’t happened yet…)
Well done chappies!

Quote:By the way Ecks, are you having DRZ withdrawals? seems ya still lurking around the DRZ forums at TT.Actually I must admit that today I was so bored (waiting for a phone call to be returned) that I went on to TT specifically to find a weird DRZ to post here! There seems to be no shortage of them!
Mate, if you want to appreciate the power of your bike, ride a small-bore for a day, then get back on yours… you’ll be shocked! Change is as good as a holiday!
I found a pic of an XR650 turbo too…

Quote:Why would you turbo the 250R? (why would turbo any dirtbike really). If you want outright power, and by virtue of the fact they are sticking a turbo on a dirtbike I’m assuming this is the goal, why wouldn’t you start with the 250F which makes more power to begin with?My thoughts exactly!
Do you think the induction stickers are safe? They give them out at most worksites and expect them to be displayed on hard hats… ironic if that caused an injury!
