Years ago I was stabbed in the arm while snorkeling for abalone with a couple of mates. Tell you what, when you are bleeding in the ocean, it goes everywhere. Reckon I was out of the water in 2 seconds flat!! I can relate to your photo, big-time!!
October 25, 2013 at 3:25 am in reply to: Jazz in the Japanese Gardens, Wellington NSW, Saturday 23 November 2013 #249748Ok, there has been a date change for this gig due to conflicts with too many other events. The new date is Saturday the 23rd of November 2013.
If you are on Facebook check out the event but the details are all here:
Jazz in the Japanese Gardens 2013
Where? Wellington Osawano Japanese Gardens at the Wellington Caves Complex, about 9km south of Wellington just off the Mitchell Highway (lots of “Wellington”s there!)
When? Saturday November 23, kicking off at 5pm
How Much? Gold coin donation entry – cheap as!
What do I need to bring? Yourself! I recommend a blanket and/or folding chair, snacks and drinks. The Wellington Guides will provide some catering.
What music? My band, the Tin Roof Big Band will be playing a heap of classic Jazz, Swing, Blues and Rock tunes. Should be awesome!
Good to see Sherco in a new retail venue! If I was buying a new dirt bike it would be a Sherco, hands down my pick of them at the moment!
Best of luck to you Huskybloke in your new business, I know it will be tough but rewarding!
white rocket wrote:reckon you would look good on a dr axelNah, Axel doesn’t have the ovaries for a DR650!
Now you’re scaring me Rocket… the 16th of September is my dad’s birthday!
However, in true Star Wars style, I can definitively say:
You’re not my father!!
All the best for your big day mate!
ECKS! :silly:

September 13, 2013 at 5:04 am in reply to: Jazz in the Japanese Gardens, Wellington NSW, Saturday 23 November 2013 #249713Should be a cracker Axel, we are looking forward to it. I hope to hear this weekend whether our second band is coming (they are bigger and possibly louder than we are too!).
singletrackmind wrote:How about you organise an ADV ride to see Ecks gig. That would be ironic :cheer:STM
Funny you should say that…

The pod K300’s will be $530 a pair with a 4 week wait.
Just feel the need to say thanks to Sutto’s for the great deal – hope it was worthwhile, but with the numbers above I suspect it should be! Also, again, thanks to TB for spending the time being the middle man for no benefit other than helping out some mates!
Also, thanks to the Old Bulls who have signed up, making it possible for all of us to get these knee braces for such a good price. Only would have taken a few to pull out and we would have all been stuffed!
I’m just waiting for my braces to arrive now. The knowledge base on this site sure beats trolling through the internet for half-assed reviews!
At this stage I am still sorting out the finer details but I’ll start a thread shortly… this will be a cracker!
Yeah, don’t tend to post much any more, just ride. Never much, but enough to scratch the itch, you know! Spend a bit of time on the MTB as well. Oh, that and work! Work work work!
Trailboss wrote:Not so much touchy as answering a stupid questionTo answer you, yeah good mate, heaps of riding and not all ADV. BTW you arent happy with the amount (I never questioned style or riding touchy touchy maybe, no bait used there  ) none of us feel we ride enough do we
Did you get your braces organised ECKS while we are talking?
TB
Now you, my friend, should know better than to rise to Boony, and me for that matter!
Nah I do alright, get out most weekends and have a spin, fits in between my band stuff, which is going apeshit lately! Played at the Dubbo Jazz Festival last weekend and at the moment I’m coordinating a couple of gigs locally that will happen in a couple of months. Might post up to see if some of the OBT crew might want to come, just have to finalise some details in the next couple of weeks first. Cutting a deal with [strike]the devil[/strike] Council on accommodation and discounted prices for things.
Got my braces ordered and paid for, thanks again for your work arranging that one! Now just waiting for them to be delivered.
Ah touchy touchy TB! You should know better than to bite, especially in the bloody Cowpat thread! I’m happy with my riding, the style and amount, how are you going? 👿
I’m off to get some more bait, this lot’s done!
Boony wrote:Any trail riders out there or is it all adv now?Boony
There’s still a couple of us left Boonsta, but the latte foam is slowly taking over…
white rocket wrote:but why why do it i reckon pushing bikes sux rocks are hard :pinch:  think it may be a young bull thingAl, what the…??? This coming from you?? Maybe it’s time you sold the 300 and got one of those “adventure” bikes mate! You know, like a CT110!?
Murph, you guys are full on. Thought I had a fair idea of what is possible on a dirt bike, but you’ve blown that out of the water! That stuff would make the full-on trials blokes think twice! Kudos!
snowy09 wrote:Started to strip the little bike down and Im definatley going to have to replace the fuel tank or repair the cracks in it somehow. They dont appear to go all the way through and are all located in the front / upper part of the tank.So
1] Can cracks in plastic tanks be repaired?
2] If so how
3] If not any one got atank they want to flog?
Cheers snowyOk my two cents:
1. Possibly, but would you want your kids riding around on this? One decent hit may be enough to shatter the tank and spray fuel everywhere. Potential for disaster right there.
2. See above
3. I agree with H, check ebay, gumtree, put a “wanted” ad here and possibly on ADVRider in the Australian section (covers a lot of ground).Edit: Here’s an XR100 at Molong just down the road from me for $250. Cheap parts bike perhaps? http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/molong/motorcycles/xr-100-/1026007256
