    Yes/Yes

10wt if you think it rebounds ok, 15wt if its rebounds too fast.

How long is a piece of string. Pre-load is a variable. How much are you using now? What spring rate are you using now? Are you happy with the dive under brakes and its initial action and bottoming resistance?

Give us a call in the office 4732 2626 to discuss the variables.

    Thanks,

Seriously… no questions? I have oodles of time now I’m not slaying a pack of pinko, lefty, commie pillow biters (not that there’s anything wrong with that) on the (yawn) VMX forum.

Check out our latest on facebook… stay tuned for more jocularity. http://www.facebook.com/TeknikRacing go on and “like us” I dare you.

Well that’s how TB “indoctrinated” me to Old Bull. Are you telling me you just had to register… I feel dirty.

    O.K. from the top;

TB, if you were marooned with two hot chicks, a married couple, a fat guy and a retard, would you really want to leave considering you are the only logical choice for the two birds? Not a thinking man are you?

PTW, common nomenclature has eroded most sensible and correct use of the English language. It is indeed a handle bar (singular), but through common mores and miss use, it has become acceptable to use it incorrectly. As for the forks, even my 8 year old understand plurality. You have two “forks” in your triple clamps, hence the use of the plural version of the root word. Also, for future reference, its a swinging arm, not a swing-arm. Another bastardized word in the Queens English.

kram, if you really want to know why I was banned, we will have to actually look at the whole geo-political state of the the country and the state of NSW for a true explanation. In simple terms, I don’t suffer fools, idiots, left wing pinko commie fagots, ex union lawyers with no chin, Greens or people who know a little bit about a lot and pretend they have PhD in the subject. Plus I told the owner of the forum to suck my dusters and that I was going to corn hole him prison style at the next VMX race. I dunno, do you think I went too far? Some people are so sensitive.

02, if they made a washing machine that performed perfect oral copulation, the human species would go extinct, as we would no longer need women, not to mention we’d also ALWAYS have clean clothes.

Corey 8, the balance of true value in any currency vs. its circulation is always in question. It forms one of the basis for the trade in foreign monies. Currently people believe that the Aussie dollar has more true assets behind it than the US dollar contributing to cheap stuff on e-bay. However, the simple answer as to how currency goes back into circulation is that they use trucks to drive it to banks.

Ok let me relay a story I got Monday.

One of our preferred tuners in Vic who uses our stuff pretty much exclusively did a similar weekend like we’re about to do in Yamba. He had five or six mates who all decided to get a range of WR/CRF-X/EXC bikes and started racing local enduros and a bit of MX etc. C grade nuffers. Couldn’t lube a chain let alone oil filters when they started – if you know what I mean.

They have local practice loop, bit of single, bit of grass track, few mx section with jumps – a few kays long. They all got properly sprung front and rear and got t-valve fork kits.

They all went 6 to 10 seconds a lap faster within three to four laps and that was using the DIY specifications in our instruction book. Now they have had the valving changed to an expert spec for the past few months and our tuner has come back to us asking for some of our in house specifications (a spec if our word for the shim stack set up) because they are blowing through the travel late in the stroke they have improved so much.

Now when you get to know me, you’ll realize I take all stories with a shaker of salt, not just a grain. But somewhere in there lies some truth. A bunch of guys are enjoying their riding more, motivated to ride even more and some are training, and two are moving up to expert supposedly for this enduro season. That is a win in any book.

Like I like to say – we’re happiness consultants. Riggs and Snowy if you trust us to do a job for you and you’re not happy, we’d keep working with you on your settings or even go so far as to re-do the job as many times as it takes until you ARE happy.

Failing that Snowy, if you still cant tell the difference, you do suck and I’ll trade you your bike for 50 cartons, a ballet tutu and a bag of cement so you can harden the $@#% up.

    Peace love and moonbeams,
    Rudy

Like most things in life, if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. Are you completely happy with all aspects of your suspension? Do you have any complaints about particularly trails or aspects of the action in differing terrain?

A good thing is if you can get a ride on a bike that’s been set up.

maybe, we switch accounting packages 3 years ago so anything before that is gone.

    Too kool for ‘ole skool,

I don’t think that there was much development going on for that model over the two years. If they followed the RM development, the 84 would have comp and rebound adjustments in the shock, where the 82 would have only rebound. You can easily tell us that.

Giving it a rebuild and springs front and rear shouldn’t be a problem even though we don’t have a dedicated listing for them. We can measure the rate of the springs that come out standard and if you can send me the outside diameter of the front and rears and their overall free length we can cross check – or you can wait until we get them here.

Good news is, if we can do my 82RM, we can do your PE. We’ll even have t-valve V4Ss for the front to give them a 90s feeling… ha!

Give us a call and we can go through particulars, or hit me up at sales@teknikmotorsport.com

    Rudy out.

Bend over and assume the position TB.

Give us a call 610, and lets go through what we can do with your stock suspension until you can send them in.

    in reply to: settings #170848

    OK hatto,

Lets assume you’ve gotten the sag thing rectified.

    My advice is two fold.

    1. Try each of the factory settings vs. Sutto’s setting and pick one you like. Make sure you pick the same loop to test on for consistency. I even suggest you time each of your loops – even if its just a wrist watch on the handle bars.

    2. Failing any love affair with any of those setting do this – count the total clicks for each adjustment front and back and put them in the middle. Now do the same loop and start making some decision. Its too soft in the front, if feels like the back end is squatting etc. Then start your adjustments TWO clicks at a time.

Steel some kids school exercise book and keep track – notes on what you do and don’t like about each adjustment, notes about your times.

Then tell me what you don’t like front and rear based on starting in the middle. We’ll probably end up near on the factory/Sutto setting you liked best, but at least then you can decide if you actually need to re-valve or upgrade with a kit.

Suspension’s a funny lover. You may be gaga for tall leggy blondes, but she does nothing for the next guy who prefers more hand holds in his woman. Same goes for suspension. You may ride someone bike and hate the set up, but the owner loves it and just to piss you off is faster than you with it.

    Good luck,
    ER
