Sure to catch up on a local ride in the near future.
Welcome on board “XY” – good to see you amongst it.
Pity the 300 was not a good experience for you.

Sounds like you are well sorted. The economy you are getting is second to none, you must be happy with that!
ps. you’re not Dr Dan on DBW are you?Sounds good – but would be interested in what fuel mix ratio are you using? As I recall, JD RED needle (runs leaner) and BLUE (richer) and JD recommend BLUE with clip in position 2 and air mix at 1.5 turns.
I run fuel at 40:1 so with a RED needle I have the clip at position 3 (richens/increases fuel)and it only needs 1 turn of the idle jet. What impressed me most with this setting was the extra fuel range I got for each ride.Trailboss wrote:
Quote:Hey that looks alright, I am sure thats where we did the 4 day in 06, would love to go back and look it over without the pressure of racing, will check the calendar, you going Fezza?Definately going and registered about 2 weeks ago with 2 others (Justo and Adz). A Canberra mate said it is a well supported charity ride and the trails are in mint condition, it may cover the same loops that you have been over. I believe Lyndon Heffernan is partly involved in the ride and should be one for ride-calander.
Termeil is about 4 hours away for me so I was planning to stop down the coast on the Saturday. Let us know if interested or a group is registered and we can either meet up on the day or grab a steak/brew at some RSL the night prior to the event. Giddee-up!
Kowen Forrest is just outside of Queanbeyan on the Sydney side. North of Kev’s House.
I am registered and heading down Saturday evening with a few mates. :woohoo: Arriving about 7.30 am Sunday for unload and customs check, so let me know if you want to catch-up. Hmm, being seen with an oil burning 2T may not look good for the holder of F1 BMW technology.

I have messed around with my bike and since November 2008 have enjoyed the following JD Jetting (about $140 and 5 minutes effort).
Main Jet – 162
Idle/Pilot Jet – standard
Jet Needle – red
Clip – 3rd from starting position
Air – 1 complete turn onlyDelivers smoooooth power / torque and revs clean right off the bottom. (Note – all the standard weazel word disclaimers should apply here should you hate it) :silly:
Goodluck
You betcha….can’t wait for it as the job sucks harder than 42mm carby at the moment.
I had better stop replying to everyone by saying a big thanks to TrailBoss, Menace, LC4skin, Ollie, KTMrat, Mr Blue and others for showing the love and welcome to the website.
I look forward to get out amongst it and sharing a few good laughs with you guys. So keep us in mind and I will try and watch for upcoming rides. In any event you can also contact me on 0414 250 105 (please don’t pass this on to any of the major banks, the ATO, Centrelink or my wife’s lawyer) and I answer to Fezza, Jason or anything else that amuses me. cheers
Thanks for the invite Moto.
The Pines is usually great for me and will likely tag along at the next chance. This weekend I will be at the Kowen Forrest Ride with a few ride mates including “Justo” also a recently new Old Bull recruit. Enjoy your ride and I am guessing teh Watagans will be a tad greasy after this rain.

G’day Ollie
Thanks for the welcome. Please keep us in mind as I would be glad to jump on rides in the Watagans as its my closest venue. For me Sundays are always the easiest for me as my young boys play rugby on weekends and I am normally roped into something around the footy club.
Sorry the sport you witnessed wasn’t us but I sure wished I could have seen the work required to get the big-bore out of the mess.
cheers

Quote:hey Fezza when did you go to Belanglo? i was there on friday. the rangers were out there putting up bright orange fences over all the single track. but now everyone can just see where they all are and they will prob get more use!Hi LC
Thanks for the welcome. A wollongong mate introduced me to Belangalow and I was last there about 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. It was great day and only saw about 5 or so other bikes. The Rangers were there early kicking non-rego riders out and asking people to stay out of the pines, pity as there is some great single track through them. The ranger we spoke to said they were having problems with reports of roo-shooters. We did the wiser bush loops and tracks out around the quarry (pistol club) / Bunnygalore farm then back around to the North again. Some great riding, happy to hook up down that way some time.Hey Justo – you talked me into having a look and I decided to join up. Looking forward to the Kowen bash this weekend. :woohoo:
cheers
