Nice Bike, that is on my short list for sure, I am busting to get one. Problem is something always comes up.
I sat on one the other day tyre kicking at Northside at Artarmon, nice feel 13000kms 5K.
I like the feel of them more than DRZ400 (short legs).
Where are you from, I will keep an eye out for the white flash…..

Good one Eagle, the 690 is shinning like a star. The hot rod is awesome.
I missed out this year. I still don’t have a bike but I did buy a pinball machine on the weekend so that’s fun. The hot rod would look good beside it like Happy Days.

I think Suzuki JR80. I saw one going around at the taree track a couple of months ago looked good. Oil injected low maintenance.

Hi on another forum im hearing white vinegar if its surface rust.

or Put in some phosphoric acid and turn the tank around several times until its all coated, this will disolve all the crud and rust deposits. Leave it in there for while it won’t hurt. Then wash it all out (comes out like foam) with water and try to dry the tank quickly with a heat gun and compressed air. You can then flush with some Methalated Spirits as this causes the water to run out and will disperse it. Should be clean as a whistle after this.

Friday Tyre kicking.
44 went tyre kicking on Friday at Teammoto Blacktown.
Had a sit on the new injected WR450, the guy there was more than happy to offer a test ride, I didn’t take him up yet, also told me of a dirt test ride at Clarence at end of next month “see website”.

I was surprised to see it doesn’t have a key to start it. But I suppose you don’t pick up the milk on it.

Being a big man I was also interested in the XT660r 10K ride away and had a sit on the Tenere.

Looks very nice, I think husky need to go again and build a 2013 model, maybe 7 speed like all the new cars.

I thought KTM and Berg were very different, the Berg has a motor on a slant and I think it handles very well from what I have read.
Either would be good to have.

but I would be looking at the new injected Yamaha WR450.
