(I haven’t forgotten the maintenance day it will be soon)

You got it, im in the Hornsby area. I needed my blue slip last year so like many of you say, I put the bike on the trailer and went out to Greenacre. Was told about this really dodgy Mechanic and low and behold he passed me haha. Don’t really want to venture out there again for my Pink Slip though. May take it to a local mechanic who hopefully knows nothing about Bikes.

TB, still 100% keen for this ‘maintenance day’. Looking forward to it. ;) ;)

Was with my bike tonight… Decided to cancel the service as there really is nothing wrong with the bike. I know I will be hit up for at least $600 when I guess I don’t have to be paying anywhere near that price right now.

A “social service” with Bundies in hand sounds like a much better option.  That way I can learn what there is to know and hopefully will be able to carry out many repairs myself.

Ollie, you are right! To not take advantage of an offer like that would be crazy!

Trailboss, It would be very much appreciated if you could show me a thing or two so im not so clueless when it comes to the mechanics of my bike hehe. Def Count me in! ;) ;)

Heya Trailboss, Sorry for the delay, Internet is so slow at my place its quicker to mail you a response via Aust Post   Work is for surfing the net isn’t?? :P
Mate that is more than kind of you. I would love to learn how to do services myself and learn more about the mechanics of my bike. I think for this time I will empty my pockets to Procycles   I will just tell them there is pretty much nothing wrong with the bike so im not expecting to be hit up for much. I just really want them to check a few little things and clean her up around the edges. Hopefully in the not so distant future I can still take you up on the offer ;)

    Cheers, Freeze

Thanks guys but Scott’s doing all the work all I did was call him and post up and I’ve benefitted from it.

Thanks to OBT for setting up the sponsors that give us these deals and the sponsors themselves for coming through for us.

Local dealers quoted me about $240 for a set picked up from the shop!

Yeah thanks Austblue. You did all the organising for this so well Done!! Its much appreciated ;) I also sent Scott a thank you email on Friday aswell along with my payment.

    Thanks again.

Yip I do the Oil changes myself Austblue. Valves have never been looked at. I mentioned my forks because there seems to be a minor leak in them… After recent rides dirt is stuck to the bottom of the forks and when I run my finger over them it is wet and has that oily texture to it

Uncle Fester mentions Head stock bearings, are they the same as what Chris72A calls Steering Heads?? As there is a fair build up of grease there.

How does one check the Linkage??

Brakes are fine. I bleed them maybe 300kms ago.

Maybe I should take Chris72A advice, with if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Although as mentioned in my first Post, It has never had a proper looking over. mmm……… :S :S :S :S

Ollie I feel your pain just not as much thank God. :woohoo: I was done about 5 weeks back. Put my card through a Scamming machine in Newtown. Few days later tried to get money out only to find my account had been blocked. Luckily NAB somehow picked up that my card had gone through the skimming device and had put a stop to my card before anyone could access my money. Pain in the ass though as I had to rely on the missus for money. Took a good two weeks to get my new card in my hands. Bloody Banks!!

Sorry to hear you lost so much $$$. Banks are insured so im sure you will get it back no prob.

Further to this though, 5 of my girlfirends friends were done aswell. Many of them losing a couple of hundred each. The Inner West is full of these bloody machines .   BEWARE!!!!!!!

Heya ollie, sounds good mate but just to remind you I am slow haha. A few months back myself and a few mates went for a ride with people who said they were average… Bloody Hell, we didn’t see them for the rest of the day. I just dont understand how people ride that fast through the bush, its insane!

Maybe we could learn some new trails though. Woo Hoo!! 😆

P.S I agree, Blue is the best… Did you leave yours in the sun for a while did you?? hehe.

    Thanks everyone!!

Trailboss, most weekends? HA my last ride would of been 4 months ago… Actually thinking about it now probably even longer. Holly crap!! Looking at getting into it a little more now. Im a baby faced 26 mate. Where abouts you mainly ride?

Mr Blue, I couldn’t agree more… I think the 03 model WR250 has to be one of the best looking of that model. Duck tape does wonders haha.

Well thanks for everyone who has welcomed me so far and replied to my Intro. I hope to ride with you in the not so distant future.
