im off to bed strucky’s tree hit will be on in the morning and its something every rider should watch just how quick you can come unstuck its just lucky really I felt sick when I seen it
here is me going up and down Jacobs leader its in 1080p but the quality is not the best . if you are unsure about this hill climb its as easy as 1st gear, mid rev’s, momentum and keeping the front tire pointing to the top I hope this video help’s with the guys that have not ridden it before but it is one to tick off your bucket list big thanks to tb for the route and strucky for waiting for me at the bottom. though the helmet cam doesn’t show just how steep it is it is very do able for most riders. a good tire is most recommended if you have under 50% tread don’t bother unless you have done it before . good luck let me know what you guy’s think when you ride it as you can here from my cheers from the top I had a ball
400 min to upload Jacobs leader to youtube dam. going up billygoat trail (the photo of the bikes crashed) was insane we should have stopped at the bottom but it did not look that bad and it had a good creek crossing before it. tho at the bottom of the hill I thought id have a look at how bad it got at first I was like yeah id ride a 1200 up this then well it only got worse and worse to bouncing from side to side of the track my legs every where I thought time to stop and turn around as no one is going to able to ride up this I seen a place to stop but I was already stuffed and when I pulled in to stop I lost it thinking struck was not stupid enough to ride up this I was going to pick up my bike up then I here strucky coming full noise and wheel spinning tho he doesn’t make it far as you can see from the photo that has got to be the worst place to drop that bike as even with 2 of us it was very hard to pick up. so we get both bikes up and I tell strucky to wait till we both get going to ride off but off he goes I am now stuck at the top of billy goat trail and my bike will not start I get off to try to push it out of the hole its in not even close about 15minets goes by and I still cant start this thing all I can think is there is no recovery for my bike im going to have to leave it here and go get help then finally it kicks over and I ride down one of the worst hills ive ever been on. this hill is not on route and on one will be riding it. after this with the bike trouble and no recovery options we would have to call it quits.
this is the heart ache of being so close but so far away owe day only got worse from here to find a way around Jacobs ladder. next post will be me riding Jacobs ill put it in 720p for those who want to have a crack
