Hey Nick. Don’t forget to wash the degreaser out fully.
If the degreaser or kerro or bundy or what ever you use to get the old filter oil off, isn’t washed off completely, it will make the new oil run off and not stick to the filter as well.JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT SAFE TO GET A LATTE………. 😆 :silly: 😆
It was like a bike show at Jerrys. And its good to always run into someone you know. Nice to meet you guys and good to see Chris again.
I had a bit of extra time on the way home and did a detour through Duralong and Yambo Forest road emerging at Cooranbong. Spectacular morning jaunt.Sorry no pics of latte. if a latte is drunk in the forrest and no one hears you drink it. Does it actually count.
Ready to go now —- but it sounds like Murph has left the building
feeling every bit of 29WAHOOOooooo American Honey Ridin tomorrow thanks all
G’Day guys,
I bought mine – Garmin Zumo 660 through GPSOZ. http://www.gpsoz.com.au
These guys are fantastic and will help you with many silly questions years after purchase and be very patient. I have even sent it back and they have upgraded the software for me. I highly recommend talking to them.As for Maping. I would prefer to go the SD card way. as it wont take away the memory used in general operation. I think.
If you load up too much info on the GPS memory it affects the operation speed. e.g. I filled the memory up to the limit with music and the thing wouldnt start up properly. Just deleted some songs and it was OK. They get a bit temperamental.
Oz Topo is a really good set of maps and works very well.
G’Day all,
Please put me down on the list and ad me to Team Mickp. Wahoooooo

Nice ride guys,
That crossing is getting quite infamous. Man its slippery, tried to walk it once. ( Tried ) Ha Ha Slip Slip Woosh
There is also fuel at Woolamin about 23 Km Nth of Nundle. Or there use to be. It saved our asses once. Not sure if you would have made it or not on the smaller tank.
Hey Murph,
Thanks for the ride. I had a ball and loved all of the single track right from the start. heaps of drop off’s, rock climbs and log jumps. Its been a while since the 450 has been out of the shed and it woke up a few muscles that havent been used for a while. We forgot about the lack of fuel left in Justos tank and went back into the woods at Halkmount Rd and single tracked all the way back, found the tunnel and were lucky to find our way out. Just a small stop to transfer some fuel to get us back.
Cheers guys, great pics Murph,
That was an impressive crash Justo. Awsome to watch. Degree of difficulty, loss of fuel and even to be able to get it caught on camera. 7/10. glad to see you walk away from it.

The Dead Horse Theory
The tribal wisdom of the Plains Indians, passed on from generation to generation, says that
“When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.”However, in modern government more advanced strategies are often employed, such as
1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
4. Arranging to visit other countries to see how other cultures ride dead horses.
5. Lowering the standards so that dead horses can be included.
6. Reclassifying the dead horse as living-impaired.
7. Hiring outside contractors to ride the dead horse.
8. Harnessing several dead horses together to increase speed.
9. Providing additional funding
and, or training to increase the dead horse’s performance.
10. Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse’s performance.
11. Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead and therefore contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.
12. Rewriting the expected perform¬ance requirements for all horses.
And, of course…
13. Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.G’Day Murph, can I tag along as well.
Cool.

I would have loved the film festival and ride. Have seen a bit of Tim Copes work. I love reading your reports seeing the pics and am looking forward to seeing you books and films in the future.
Gav
It was a good effort though. with what started as a short ride to muck around with Tryhards new GPS, turned out to be an interesting day out.
Ive just finished getting some screen shots off the Video.
Yes the Zig Zag up from Maculata Rd
The Hulk was there as well
Found this little log jam and had to show Joe.
New Mill Rd
Found a stream or two
Havent seen these flow very often
We checked out a few trails that didnt go far and then decided it was a bit hot and it would be best if the bikes get taken through the automatic bike wash
And if you look close there is a horse made out of horse shoes. He seamed to not complain about the rough trailer ride
Cheers Joe
