Thanks for the good read, I did its job and made me wish I was there. Good stuff
This Baby was my first bike.
Wr250 Husky. yes its got a 390 Tank. Why is there no chrome on anything anymore. It started everytime, after 3rd or 4th push.
Rattled and vibrated so much there was an aura around the sound of it.
Brakes, HA ………your kidding arnt you.
Foot pegs to die for ….to be honest, many a time they almost killed me they were so small and no grip on them. But go….. Wahooo. This thing was raw and took off like a bullet. It was the scariest sport I had done, fully out of control & squinting so much just to get around the corners. I was hooked from that instant
What a bike to learn on.It was kicking around in my shed for so long I almost gave it away. Am now crying while I write this. It should have been mounted in my living room.
Ive never used glue and never had a problem with spinning grips, as long as you use tie wire on the extreme ends and the middle to stop any moisture.
I have heard that if your bars are set up too far forward, it can also cause arm pump. I also found this when I got a new bike once and adjusting the bars helped.
It will cost you nothing to try……..

The DT 200 are a great bike. The two i had were almost un-breakable. God knows I tried.
The only probs I had were :The Battery needs to working properly as the power valve on the exhaust runs off it.
One of mine had a busted woodruff key in the fly wheel when I bought it. Got it cheap. Cheap to fix. Hard prob to find.
Never had any prob with the oil injection. It worked well.
I have a complete set of New Clutch Plates if you need them. Bought them as the clutch was slipping but it had grooves in the basket. A File fixed the prob.
From original I changed the jettng which made a major difference. It was a long time ago. Ill try to dig out the size. The Yamaha WR of the same vintage had very similar running gear.
Regards
GavHey Boulder, Do they have any protection (as in armor) in them?
Its funny they work just as good on the side as they do upright
I have just fitted one of these to my 640 adv and its awesome. Really easy to install. I will be putting the other one on soon, so ill try and post a pic. They fit nicely with only one small straight bracket.
Just remember to loctite the heat sink that holds the bracket on at the back as it is, it comes quite loose.one from the side
Thanks Gents. It seems like I only had one a year ago.
Who is the guy in the lovely floral number at the bar on Day 2. maybe thats why you were the only ones for dinner.
Am laughing as I read. Nice Work guys
