being the proud owner of a xr400, i was glad it was not hot as i forgot to take coolant for my radiator.
On the Sunday me and xy-transit went for a ride on our own, as the other boys in the photo were going to Jamieson for lunch. We also experienced a tiny bit of snow, unfortunately i dont have the prized grip heaters ( i just rely on body temperature and gloves)
I was setting the pace as i thought xy was still a bit sore from a couple of incedents on Saturday. Obviously i was taking a rock infested hill a bit slow going down, the next thing i hear is the creaking of xy’s front brake. He goes flying past me with his rear brake locked, totally in control:( .thats what friends are for.
What do you mean hungover, you have to stop drinking to be hungover:laugh:
most of us made it back safe. Few injuries, but more will come later. Menace, choppa and the boys from NSW are staying till today.
i’m suprised you could write it, i thought your tears of laughter might have buggered your keyboard.
yeh, this time i went anti-clockwise.
Adrian, me and you will have to show our big brothers how to ride on this snow adventure.
I had a xr250 that i sold to JAK (sucker) with the twin carbys. When we rebuilt the motor, my mate who is a Honda mechanic told us not to play with the carbys. He said they were a nightmare to tune.
my old next door neighbour had one that was tidy for its age, full rego. He was selling it for $2000 which he thought was a fair price, being a Honda always makes them dearer.
Hope the jousting sticks dont come out Saturday night.
Adrian you should be a poet, your use of english brings a tear to my eye.:woohoo:
I have given my XR the full service for the next weekend, you beauty. My rigorous service schedule involves walking aroung the bike looking at the rear and front pads and tyre thinking i should invest in new ones. Chain needs lube, maybe i should invest in new sprockets (nah the 400’s are kind to sprockets)  :laugh:i am only coming on this weekend if you can promise me there will be no “Strawberry Kisses” going on Choppa.
menace, i dont mind pushing the DRZ with the hugely oversized tank, its the rider that makes it hard.
a special thank you should go to JAK and his amazing skills wielding the welder to put my trailer guard back on. After it fell off again i had offers from choppa and menace to use their roll of race tape (thanks guys). 😆
I think choppa should change his name to guinea pig, when sent off to test ride a hill climb we all thought F**k that for a joke. A couple of minutes later he came back saying “it got easier to climb the further you went up, it was probaly harder on the way down” . -
