    Friday Adventure Ride :cheer:

All good open fire trails flowing for kilometres and kilometres some single track every now and then. :cheer:

Got a bit misty on a farm and I had concerns about a bull being separated from his cows by ‘us’ as we rode by.

Met up with Snowy and Polly and they showed us a leaf littered fast flowing mud soaked track yehaa. :P

Had lunch, rode back to farm stay.

I have now experienced Adventure riding. ;)

Really ‘cool’ calm layback kind of day :)

    Saturday B)

It was a lovely day overcast hey no it wasn’t the weather was shitty.
It was hard to get motivated but on with the mankini and it was full steam ahead. ;) SCARRED FOR LIFE RIGHT THERE

Bike stalled after start up and I couldn’t get it going. I pressed the magic button again and again no good ,
Some one suggested kick start it.
    It works. 😆
    ‘New experiences everyday.’

    Tally ho we’re away.

There was a misty rain and just watered up me safety glasses and I would wipe them clean with my mud soaked gloves with limited results. :S

Hattos got the trick.: He has a small section of ‘Shammy’ in a lolly container cable tied to his handle bars. Magic gonna make one. Thanks Hatto. :cheer: No Worries

Ya love the tracks up this way mud slippery cool hill climbs the crew moved along pretty good, no big offs or breakdowns considering the weather was very assy classy. ;)

Any way ya should have been there.

Where were you?  Bad luck to those who didn’t come, you missed it:laugh:

Oh rode the deepest rut I have ever seen. 😆 Cool. B) Rutzilla I think:ohmy:

Nearly fell off once but my hands were still on the handle bars, so don’t count. :P

Thanks for a super weekend Mick, best one this year so far. :) :cheer: :cheer: 😆

Good to meet ya Dude, you are a dude.;)
PS dude’s wet weather gear consisted of a glad garbage Bag- fashion and functionality right there my friend, hope someone has a pic:laugh:

Check mine after every ride after washing. Have never found them to be loose but have found plenty of other bolts missing or loose, par for the course I reckon. Loctite is your friend- hell I even carry some in the sparse tool kit I carry when riding.:P

Sorry WR but I think the bloke should have checked his bike over-1000kms is along way on a dirt bike on terrain which is very unforgiving. I know people who have got 1000kms on their bike and it is 2 years old, surely thats not still a warranty issue if it happened to them.

We had another half inch of rain last night and it is still raining. There is a Adam’s family cloud hovering over Wauchope dumping its load, so you guys can expect to do some slippin and slidin. :woohoo:

Can’t believe you are dragging me all the way up there and not putting the weather on for me, I thought the Mayor was supposed to have special privileges.,

What year model Corey, because they do seem to go cheap, don’t seem to hold their value real well, but seem to be fairly bullet proof.
Same motor as the legend kx and has won a few 24hr enduro’s in a row.

My Berg is like that, particularly in 1st, not so bad in other gears though and like yours, a pain to get into neutral unless I am trying to change gears on a snotty uphill, then it’s really easy.

Almost fell of my chair when I read this Jeffro because I can just soooo relate to it. ROFLMAO

Sorry BellingenEv, I know that doesn’t help solve the problem. I did mention it to my Husky mechanic last week when I took the bike in for a service and he told me that it’s normal for … now bear with me being a typical female here … but I think he said it was typical of EFI bikes. Don’t shoot me down, I’m just the messenger, don’t even know if your bike is fuel injected or not, but that’s what I was told.

I always thought that EFI was supposed not to do that-not supposed to flood, supossed to start straight away, change the mix as conditions changed etc etc. Have a mate with a gg450 and if he stalls, it’s a pain to start again, it can’t be the way it’s meant to be

hey corey… Curious as to what makes the DRZ400 more simple than the KLX?

    cheers…

easier to ride Krusty, more time to react for stuff like logs i find. on the other hand there is a not able power difference but i have not been on a ride that requires any more the a drz for ages and since i only got the old man with what he calls “pace” to deal with i don’t need the extra power LOL

lets watch him bite at that

Funny that you say more time to react etc, if the throttle isn’t wound on as much I can’t see that there is alot of difference/time. Would have thought that 12kgs would be more of an issue than the amount you twist the throttle.
I don’t ride my 450 anywhere near it’s potential but the ease of riding with the extra power means that if i’m lazy I can still get away with it.
Maintenance is no biggy because we all change oil etc often, regardless of the bike, and none of us are riding wott to wear them out.IMO
But if change is the go than good luck with the swap over, I would expect a fair hit in the hip pocket though
