Well Movember has just about run it’s course. What started out as a bit of fun for my ride weekend to araluen has seen 16 of us commit to Movember.
Let me just say that the experience has been ok, but will be glad to shave tomorrow morning. We got some very funny looks when we all arrived at the pub, we had a prize for the worst MO – which was not taken out by me   , the other guys was more pathetic than mine.
Here is the last installment of a hard fought battle with my genes to get a growth on my top lip, still not the best result but full commitment to the cause at least.Again, I would like to thank all OLD BULLS for their support and look forward to the chance to return the gesture for the OLD BULL representative next year.

Hi All
So here I was, just finishing my last bundy on sat night and my phone rings. There is a p@#$d bloke on the other end talking swarhealy nonsense but could understand a couple things and that the fast fill jug has been done and that you guys have raised $1041. What a fantastic effort. I then get put onto the king who isn’t quite as bad and he fills me in with some details.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thankyou to each and everyone of you who have donated. What a top effort.
When a group of people come together to help a charity, it’s fantastic and to do it when times aren’t the best is even more satisfying. Movember- well that is the gimmick, an if I have to go through some discomfort, embarrassment, humiliation and celibacy for the cause, than I will take one for the team.Go the OLD BULL FAST FILL JUG

PS- Boony, I have heard a rumour about you going around the pub asking for donations- If thats the case, you da man. Your heart is as big as Phar laps, and no matter what they say about you, I don’t believe them
That is something that I would do-we need to catch up.cheers

or ride on better tracks or should we mark our single track that still won t make it legal just let more people no where it is.don t ride a road bike so avoid those.if you still have to get a green slip for rec rego it will be a wast of time rego is the cheap partKing Crash wrote:

This member made quite a substantial donation and challenged me to colour my attempted mo orange/ranga and If I did than he would part with some more coin. Well I got home last night and told the misses my challenge, of which she called me lot’s of names(which I can’t put on here). Don’t forget she didn’t want me to have a mo in the first place.
So I bit the bullet and got a hair dye (Red Embers) and went for it.
I put the first attempt on, waited 40 mins(10 mins longer than instructions) and washed, the result, although not fantastic, there was a little colour change.
I decided to give it another go, and again applied to selected area and went out to watch a bit of telly while it did it’s stuff -mind you, the ridicule and ribbing from the family was intense. I waited another 40 mins and then washed the affected area. Here is the result

Now I’m not sure if this is going to satisfy his royal highn-arse, and get him to part with more coin, but I have completed the challenge, as good as it can be at this stage.

Dear Hatto,
Due to your desease, ridiculouslyus smallus amount of facial hairus! Your going to have to body paint that mo or you aint gettin’ a cent……………..two extra weeks too, two weeks.
The King.
ps. Like plants, maybe you’ll have to shave every other hair from your body so that your hair cells can concerntrate on just pushing out above your lip!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!
Sorry Mate – that is just not going to happen, I tried. Movember ends at the end of November. The challenge was worth the shot to gain some more revenue for a great cause, but commitments at the start of Dec prevent me fullfilling your challenge.(I have to see the quack about my disease)
Thankyou for your substantial donation to the cause, much appreciated.Hatto

Quote:A letter from the affected landholders at Kyogle. Their story. Our story; On January 25, 2010 a rep from our local Council was escorted onto our property by a Police Officer to hand us a STOP ORDER. This document prohibits either of us, our children or any other person from riding on our farm for fun.
We have 480 acres 27kms north of Kyogle. We are smack dab in the middle of farmland. Between us we have 6 teenage children, only 3 are still at home this year, when we used ride around on our farm the kids would invite a couple of friends out so there would have been about 6-10 riders about once a month if we were lucky as we all work, farm and have other commitments just like most families do. In 2009 our 2 neighbours who are retired on 5 acres parcels complained about the noise from our dirt bikes. One of them is addicted to his lawnmower and spends hours and hours mowing his acreage. The other neighbour used to be OK until the new one showed up, anwyays…we have gone to court twice to defend ourselves and to try to explain to the Court its just a family riding on our own farm and we aren’t riding that much anyway as we work full time and the kids are in school all week etc. Plus the farm work to do on the wkds! Nothing we said was good enough. We were found guilty of “emitting offensive noise” this offence is a criminal act under the Environmental Operations Act (Noise Control) 2008. This law enables anyone to complain about any noise and it doesn’t matter how long, how loud (no db reading required) it just needs to be considered offensive by the “victim”. Our STOP ORDER has no expiration date or any workable terms. Our neighbours refuse to mediate our Council refuses to mediate. Why should they? They have legislation to back them up. According to our Council our STOP ORDER is permanent and totally justified by the Environmental Operations Act (Noise Control) 2008. Another family in our area have been threatened with the STOP ORDER, they also own acreage and are about 20km out of town in farm land, they have 3 sons of which only one rides regularly about 2 hours over the wkd. His neighbour has complained about noise and actually written to our local MP quoting the legislation. Kyogle Dirt Bike club is currently fighting council and a “neighbour” to get their DA renewed, what should have been a 6 week process of renewal has now taken over 6 months. Council is forcing them to get a NOISE reading, but it will just be a waste of money because the neighbour 2kms away from the Poker Run parking lot is going to complain about offensive noise under the ACT. The Kyogle Dirt Bike club is a small club that runs only 4 poker runs a year on 2 of its members farms. Council is trying to make life very difficult for this family based club.
We are fighting for the right to ride on our own farm.
We are fighting for the rights of our kids to be able to ride and their kids and so on. Our Council is so uneducated when it comes to who dirt bike riders really are. ~Jack and KylieIt sounds as though you don’t need a basis for a complaint – put a complaint against them with their noisy mowers going all weekend, get that banned – then sit down and have a discussion about compromise and removing the banns
