Lunch sorted, Bewong Burger(great burger) topped up fuel and camelbacks, back out onto trails, bit of firetrail and into a twin uphill which is rocky as, not big rocks but lots of, and by the end you know by the shoulders and arms are shaking. This track was just so galey felt at home (alot like sunny corner loam). 😆 Bit more dirt rd and into our jerassic park track, good track with lots of logs, mud, rainforest type stuff and a drop though a rock cutting ;) All through safely onto a really rocky fire trail. From here on it’s a bit open, powerlines and fire trails but with the pace on and 6 or seven blokes powersliding the corners in a congo line, we all had smiles whenever we stopped to re-group.
Once we got back through wattle (twisty water logged track from morning), it was back through bodies in the barrels. powerlines and home, about 5pm
Quick beer, said our goodbyes and the lads were setting off for the drive home.

Thanks guys for coming down, great to meet Marty, Galey and Gocman, good to catch up with Crash and LC again (both smashing there new rides) ;) hope you enjoyed a little taste of our area.
Pauly, thanks for the laughs and your house as the meeting place.
All you guys would fit into our riding group no worries, fun times good laughs, piss taking etc, welcome anytime

Not sure about pics or vids, (i dont have a camera)but post up if you have some.

We traveled about 130kms with a full mix of trails, I had 2 big cramp moments on sat night  :( one while having a piss (very interesting that one) and am still a little saw today, so must of got a workout.

    Will do again

    cheers Hatto

    Part 2

Off we head into a beutifull little single and it was wet both on the ground and on the trees. One of the pitfall when leading in wet conditions is copping all the water on the leaves as you brush past :( and by the end of this section I may as well have jumped in the pool before leaving  , but everybody was enjoying themselves so we press on. This next part is high speed flowing FT, there were plenty of roos out, but with 9 pipes barking down the trails they were getting the Hell outa there fast.
Next single is a work in progress, now well defined but the amount of rain and humidity we have had down here this summer, some serious re-grothe has been happening- looks like a vist by the trail fairiers is required. through goat track-couple of nice creek crossings and almost to the end, we find our first tree down. out with the saw, Galey and crash jump off, get a new line sorted  and continue on. Way to go guys ;)

From here it’s another fast flowing link with a couple of creeks which by the end had Galey Yahooing  . Here we turn into a fairly new sinle which is one of the most slippery tracks you will ride, it always feels like you have a flat and if you are off the bike you struggle to stay on you feet, (aye Crash) This track is only about 5km,s long but we emerged from it at 11.50 am so we soaked up some time in there- did I mention it was slippery, it was like two female jelly wrestlers on lino 😆
Crash you need longer legs mate :woohoo:

On to a hill called Prozac, and those who rode it understand, It a switchback track dropping off the side of a cliff, rock boulders, off camber corners and steep but not very long. i knew it would be interesting b ut we all got through. This is where Pauly had his little menapausel moment and when he got to the bottom the dummy hit the ground, . I had commented to the others his exact words when he caught us and right on que, he let fly with some language which would make kevin Bloody Wilson cringe 😆
but all was good, I knew they would love the track from here on with 2 ripper hills to finish off our accent out of the valley.

Time for lunch – all were hungry

After the rain we have had down here, last week was a ripper, ;) sun and wind, just what was required for a local ride to show some visitors our trails, I was pumped and ready to go. Sitting on the lounge on friday night have a bundy or 4  it started to rain, :( with thunder and lightning. just a storm I thought -perfect. At 11pm it was still raining and after watching the mighty Dragons decimate the pussy cat tigers it was time to hit the bed. Not a good sleep(too excited) but rain was still falling and I knew this would make it interesting for the day ahead. (50mm Rain)
Up at 6am and down to Pauly’s by 7.30 (thanks Dahle for the coffee), and like clockwork the boys started arriving, meet and greet, dressed and ready to go. 8.30am precission, planning. (galey just made it in time)  . Gocman, whats doing, blokes our age are suppost to have conditioning, man you are ripped- you really need to get off the roids :P  your a disgrace to the over 40’s looking so fit and healthy :) :(
Quick breifing and we were off, five mins through town and onto the powerlines, first little section (we call bodies in the Barrels) and come to the first water/boghole for the day, Now this changes everytime we go through there and being in the lead the guinnea pig for line, anything could happen but we all got through. 100 mtres on and boghole No2, I thought we all got through so dropped a couple of corners on some nice flowing track. stopped for a regroup, having a chat with Gocman-no one is coming, decide to limp back and it’s discovered, Galey has an airbox full of mudsludge :S and Pauly with some water-sorted and back into it.. I could hear some bikes of in the distance and knowing that it is fast and flowing warn everbody. Get to the top and Ken and Ian are there waiting for us, they weren’t coming because KOB but since that was cancelled, decided to join us, off to log cabin for a quick top up of fuel and into the days riding.

So recky run was not good, lots of trees and water, deep creeks etc, so change of plans required. Check PM.
After some discussions this morning, a decision on ride venue will be made later in the week – there may still be some hope for Milton.
Have a human GPS on the case, who may drop into the ride to lead us through.

    Hi eag’s

here is a fix for you, register on a site called shipto.com, this will give you a US address they will take delivery for and then for a small fee, resend it to you.
There is another site that does the same thing but I have the info at work, not here

    cheers Hatto

ahhhh No , sorry Hatto , they specifically state they will not ship to a forwarding address and will cancel the order.these items to be used in the US must be a sort of distributor protection scheme like rekluse have on their products.

    Ollie

Bummer, I didn’t go to the site, but keep this info handy, it works well
