It’s only my 2c but I reckon if you did something like a “Feb 2010 cattle dog.pdf” and had that available for download I reckon you’d kill it. From that you could either keep it as a site download or put it on a mailing list. I work in an open office and don’t like calling up all the time so it’s handy being able to browse the current lot of goods. It also means I can print it out and read it when I’m…. yeah when I go somewhere quiet and alone to read  then I can circle bits and leave it around for the missus to find for hintsSites like OBT and those other mugs could even link it in a sticky for users to look to for the latest catalogue
To clarify, I’m under 30 so when I say mailing list I mean email 😆 Chuck a subscribe to link next to the download and people can have the cattle dog emailed when it’s available.
Where is the old in this old bull :S – your still in nappies
Me , I like the online approach as a start point and then ring Mal once I have my wish list sortedhatto

Quote:Welcome Dallas, we will have to get the mayor of down south Hatto onto the job I think about a down south ride. Hatto can we arrange a ride meeting say over a weekend on your boat, I can do an engine inspection if that helps float to excursion  :laugh:Oh yeah Dallas sorry what do you ride mate and how did you find us
TB
Tell me when you have a spare weekend and done deal
HattoOnly reason I mentioned the colours (orange lead, green sweep) is that tour operators seem to do it this way. Have been on quite a few different ones and these colours are always the same – its like I was told (orange/close to red-stop don’t go past, and Green/go in front of me)
My take on if you get misplaced from group, return back to the last plce of group head count. When we stop as a group we always have a head count before we continue.
HattoWe have started using vests, green for sweep and orange for lead, great as a quick reference, also if we stop like at/after a creek or something lead parks bike in middle across track

Hi Murph
What size fridge are you trying to keep going, I have a 60 litre connected to a 85 amp deep cycle and an 85 watt panel keeps up with it no probs(approx 4 amps generated by Panel)
Have a solar guy who can help you out in glass house mountains, his whole setup is alternate energy. I found him to be very helpfull and well priced aswell.cheers Hatto

Backing them off will give a more plush ride

belt along a bit of trail that seems to have everything,,ruts, roots, log crossings etc.do several runs and have a play with your suspension, only you will know if its set right.when it feels right ,,write down your settings and share them with us.

Will do this tomorrow boony, just trying to get a good start point -Not being a super rider, 😆 every time i ride it feels different :S

I have an 07 525 and I’ve put the heavier springs in the forks and rear end
I weigh 105-10kilos geared up so I guess we are roughly the same
From memory I think I dialed all of the clickers up a couple
Standard settings for the forks is 20 clicks compression and rebound ie wind the clickers completely in then out 20 notches. (Compression is on the base of the fork leg)
Standard settings for the rear is 15 clicks on the compression (top of the shocky) and 22 clicks on the rebound
Like I said I think I dialed everything up  Which is good while your riding hard but once you slack off a tad it becomes a little harsh on the hits
Hope this helped not just added to the confusion
Cheers
Murph
P.S. I will have read of the manual when I get home to check on those standard settingsThanks Murph,
The manual says 15 and 20 which is what I had it set with old springs, after talking to Mal(suttos) he gave some really different settings which I will try -tomorrow – the adjustment has + and – which is the minimum. The manual says wind all the way clockwise(which is +) and then back out x amount clicks – when all the way clockwise (+) does that set at minimum or maximum. Mals clicker adjustments work from minimum setting ( my logic tells me that (-) is minimum, but suspension ???Hatto

We could even change your title to Hatto – the gatekeeper or somethin’
I am not tech savy and struggle with computers but am willing to give it a go if required

Quote:Yes maybe it is time to bring back the events calendar (YES / NO), circle the appropriate one :laugh:Chris.
Maybe an events calender in a different format.
Suggestion only
What if the events calendar was part of the forum thread under the events date, when you opened that thread it had a 12 month calender which highlited which the organised rides in order. Just like the events calander now except it is at a place where more people visit and it is always part of the thread.
Maybe it could be linked to the thread so that when a mod puts in the event/date it automatic updates and highlites the calendarNot harping or trying to take over, just offering some feedback
