I will go out tomorrow morning and see if i can jump of the other engine starter, that should at least tell me if it is a lead from batteries. Any other thoughts TBHatto
If the starter was tested Hatto its got to be in the supply to the starter, do they run of the same start batteries or are there seperate start supplies for each engine?
With a bit of luck we maybe able to have an adult conversation here without Moto’s arse from elbow dribble

Yeah different group of batteries, but i did try using the other group from the other motor – still nothing. The group from the motor that won’t start starts the other motor though, so thats why i was thinking voltage drop. Maybe the leads are shot and need replacing although they do still look good. all terminals etc have been cleaned. i will take volt meter out in the morning and see if that shows up anything.

i think crash is coming down to my neck of the woods over christmas, so maybe he might be up for a day out. I have been thinking about taking it up to syd or pittwater, but its hard to find a cost effective place to leave it for a few months – If you know anyone who has a decent mooring or marina berth which i can rent/borrow at the right price let me know. I could certainly arrange to take some fellow old bulls for a run.

They are 6BT 5.9’s. They have done less than 1000 hrs. The old man and I took 5 yrs to build in back yard, 46ft displacement cruiser – sleeps six with a sofa bed as well so 8. it’s been in the water since 95. Done a couple 9mth trips up to barrier reef, but old man is 72 now so doesn’t get whole lot of use anymore.I use a bit, but with riding, camping, sailing, diving, kids and everything else it’s hard to find the time.We do go fishing a bit though.

What do you do to upload multiple images, I keep getting just the last one three timescheers Hatto
I have fixed it up for you Hatto. Have you got a photobucket account? If not open one up and upload your pics to that then copy and paste the image code directly into your post.Sounds tricky but it isnt. There is a photobucket tutorial on here somewhere but I cant seem to find it at the moment.
Cheers
MickThanks Mick, I didn’t have any trouble doing 1 image just multiple. You must have to put some sort of seperator between files to make it work. I did have a photobucket ac but will have to check
cheers Hatto
