I know were you can get a black 09 Wr ,garaged , hardly used only done 9000ks (some minor body damage)
Seriously why do you want a 250 the weight difference is hardly noticeable , but the power is undeniable.
Macca had a 250 wr , he had a go of the 450 and bought one the next day.

I agree, go the 450 it will be about 5kgs lighter than the drzzz but will feel way different, you can be lazy when riding, if you forget to change gear-screw on and get over that issue, easier to ride on long days. True you don’t need all that power, but if you don’t wind it on, you don’t even know it’s there, it will lug all day if it has to, great on hills etc etc (my 2 cents)

Something like below, send to Evil Rudy, good for year to come ;) under 6k

My bike has done 2336 kms, 64.9 hrs and its only 6 months old

Just get a 390 Berg Nick don’t worry about dealer support, since I got my bike I only went back once for the 3 hr service to keep the warranty in check. After that I do my own service and get parts from a little bike mechanic that is 2 mins down the road or order online.

You should get a 390 as well LC as your average speed is too high at 36k no wonder I cant keep up with you!

Yeah but 300 of those were full noise south coast old bulls Araluen trip. :woohoo:

Thanks hatto I missed SB’s average that he had in his post. Is the average OZ safari only 80kph. I know that is still quick but I thought it had the fastest average speed of a race of its type and length ??? I thought it would be over 100?? The race I am comparing to is obviously the Dakar. If its only 80 I had better go and show those Smith brothers how it’s done. :silly:

I have no idea, I was just using SB’s figure as example ;)

2000 K in 50 hours would give an average speed of 40 KM/hr. I know that does not sound like much but try to average that speed in singles. If you ride like me you will be getting personal with the flora. The pony x tracks have a un policed rule that the average speed in the races be about 50 km/hr. Although mostly it would be a lot quicker especially for the A grade riders. If a bike only did a race like The Fink I would suspect it would be way over 100. But for the riding we do on average including idling time, sweeping duties I bet the average would be closer 30 ???? If it has been only used mostly for racing and training the averages will be much higher. Hatto’s figure of 80kph would in my opinion be closer to a race/ train bike with the occasional trail ride thrown in. Just my 2 cents.

Exactly, thats what SB’s figure suggests, I recon my average is about 20-25kms ( I am am slow).

I know buying used is a gamble and everobes maintainance is different but I’m just not sure about hours ? And why would they only have hours ? Is this reason to be suspicious ?

Yes-what sounds better : only 50 hrs – or it’s done 4000kms (SB’s figure). You think to yourself 50 hrs is only 6 days riding-thats not much
