bender wrote:Hi Guys,
Just calling upon the mass of wisdom that this community holds.
As I posted last week my beloved TTR got pinched, so, here is the dilemma
do I get myself another TTR as I have spare rims etc for the TTR
or do I take the opportunity to change my ride?
I like the DRZ400’s but am concerned about the liquid cooled radiator setup, having read about bikes over heating, sticks getting caught in them or hoses blowing etc…. are these real concerns or am i being silly?
I was also offered a GS650 but am unsure if such a bike will suit me yet as i do like my mud and state forest trails.
:S
over to you guysSean
Hi Bender
maybe have a look at the WR250R, fuel injected, 10000km services, and very capable for commuting as wellcheers Hatto
Check the radiator cap, have been told that they need replacing about every 3 yrs

Part 2
Sunday morning sore a cold start,
fog was in and every body was loitering around the fire in the pub waiting for their breakfast. There were a few discussions about snoring, and shenanigans from the night before and I can think of 4 soldiers who were a little on the slow side (I have no idea why)
Breakfast was served -cereal, b&eggs, toast, juice, tea, coffee and it was time to get motivated.
With the gear packed and bikes fueled up, quick photo in front of the pub and we were off on a transport section. By the time we turned into the bush it was freezing the hands and chin. :woohoo:
It seemed like everybody was in the mood,:silly: with some serious pace and windrow aeronautical maneuvers a plenty, the brothers (lc4skin and green 450) were on fire I was told with neither giving an inch as they smashed the 6 creeks track.Once we got down to the bottom of the valley, I turned them into some singles to warm them up and that it did, with all riders warming up quickly.
My local riders down here have a couple of new riders in the group with special names-wombat and echidna. These two got there names because they spend alot of time on the ground on all fours, and echidna was leading the count. Over the course of the weekend so far, he had been keeping tally of his achievements and at the start of the second single was at 16 visits to the turf(great effort) 😆
By the time he came out of the single his count was at 22- now that is some serious commitment, and to still be laughing shows testament to his character.
We were getting close to lunch, and some were wrecked so it was decided to cruise to lunch.
Lunch was by the river at nelligen where everyone relaxed. There was only a short trip back to the cars after lunch, so that all the guys who had to travel got away early enough. Thanks to the old bulls who came down for the ride, I hope you all had a good time, good to catch up with you again, I had a great weekend, showing you some of our south coast riding, and sorry for the dust-although I didn’t see any.
Crash(pinball wizard) had the camera out a bit so he will post some photos i’m sure
