Thank you all for your well wishes, really makes the time go faster. I’m much better this morning. Kindest Regards to all old Bulls
Hot2TrotI mean 5. Days later writing this 4 hrs after surgery. Will have to review post next time
Happy birthday Lefty , ” how do your feet reach the ground on your bike” I guess you are just a super rider and never need to touch ground only on the rare occasion that you fall. Keep upright and good luck
Cheers, Hot 2 Trot
I’m so jealous i know it was a great ride , but alas I was stuck at home just looking at my Hussaberg parked in my lounge room rearing to go. I was a sick as a dead dog coughing and spluttering with a chest cold, so wasn’t very welcome to travel with the boys and maybe infect them.
I missed out on Tony’s spectacular nose dive, and could have had a good old laugh to make up for all the times he’s seen me lay my baby over. Its just to tall but lots of fun .
I will have to get technics to lower the suspension if its possible or just ride like the devil and keep moving. Does anyone know if its possible to significantly successfully lower a 2007 Hussy FE 405E.
I know of a Yammaha 250 feul injected with a strange problem where it sometimes refuses to start , For Sale cheap , Ha! Ha!
Get that bike fixed, or sell it Sam13 , my God its in showroom condition what could be wrong.
Great report look forward to some pics and Im in for the next trip.

Its a great ride, had a blast last time , If my chesty cold gets better by tomorrow Ill be there with bells on . I can highly recommend the day.
I’m always “Hot 2 Trot”
Just trying to get the right ones I believe there are 3x types: Standard tube , Heavy duty, and Ultra heavy duty. What is the approximate cost of Ultra heavy duty , $80.00 to $120.00 ???
I saw one at Motorcycle supermarket accessories and can’t remember the price but know it was about 5 times more than a standard tube. I guess the spare tube to carry should be a standard one to keep the weight down ??? Due for a tyre change on the Berg and will check to see what’s in them —- Great balls of fire !!!
Hey TB Enjoy the trip you will have a blast !!
If you ride in Florida as I did you won’t need a helmet , it’s such a great feeling of freedom. If you are in Indiania it’s helmets on , be sure to see Chicago in Indiana , I have been all over and love it.
Don’t exactly know how to upload a photo on this site but here goes , photo of me and my mate’s 2 bikes that we rode around Florida for 3 weeks, also lent me his brand spanking new Hummer any time I wanted. The yanks are so hospitable. I’m jealous !! Ha Ha

I had my rotweiller tear my xl 650 a beaut white honda to bits trying to get a rat that was hiding under the seat or somewhere in the wireing. Jack Russels are so good at catching rats , if ever one hides in your pride and joy xr 650r , your baby dog will tear it to bits to get to the rat.
I keep my Night Rod Special Harley and Berg in my Lounge room , the worst that can happen is my Shitzu could aim at the wheels but never does anyway. My partners so called minature pig from Tamworth occupies the back yard and garage but is now a minature 300 Kilos , Bastard , wish the Rottie had eaten him instead of making the pig his best friend, so they are soulmates , but the shitzu is the boss dog.
Never under-estimate your cuddly lovley Jack Russel. If he sees a mouse he is a lion.
Long live XR650R’s

My 2008 Fe 450e Husaberg has a similar filter and your are right as usual TB.
The center panel on the foam filter is to hold it into shape so as when it clamps down the sides of the foam remain in shape and clamp correctly. When you clean the filter and oil it it needs to dry , the centre foam piece allows it to dry and hold it’s original shape.
Really enjoyed the Newey to Wisemans ride , thanks to all, great bunch of guys.Hot2Trot
Hi Eagle
Tony and Hot2Trot are starters and will be at ‘OLD OLNEY HQ CAMPGROUND. I guess 8.00 am is fine is that ok.
Will be at the intersection of WATAGAN FOREST RD & WOLLOMBI FOREST. I have the Berg and Tony the wr 450 Yammy, Red Holden Crewman if we park near watagan and Forrest rds.
See you when we’re lookin at you !!!: woohoo:Hot2Trot
Just another good idea is to do all of suggestions in my previous post , (Heat and cool/ freeze) but when you screw the nuts out which are welded to stud use an impact screwdriver with a socket attachment if it will fit.
This will do 2 things , help to dislodge the corroded stud by impact while simaltaneously screwing . ( “Just like we do with our shelias” Ha! Ha!)
You can also simaltaneously hammer the stud while screwing in or out till it loosens.
Vinnie, Ex Fitter and turner , worked on (F1-11 , Jindivick Missile, Bell helicopter, etc )Hi Mick, Harley Vinnie here
Use 2 nuts screwed up tight back to back allowing 4 ml of the stud to protrude. Tack weld the locked nuts to the 4 ml protrusion. Heat the stud and nuts only, to as red hot as you can with an oxy being careful not to melt the alloy swing arm , cool the alloy swing arm with single squirt of water pistol or running hose while you heat the stud cherry red if possible.
Allow the stud to cool, then heat the alloy swing arm only with oxy as hot as you can keping stud cool with squirt of water or freeze spray and slowly try to turn stud while keeping it cool.
You need 4 hands, It would pay to try heating the swing arm around the stud first and freezing the stud with the locked nuts and turn while heating one and freezing the other. heating the stud first may cause it to become soft and break.
Good luck old Mate !! by now you may even have it out knowing your persistence.
Great write up on Yum Cha lunch by the way , You are a genius with words very well written, Thanks
Too Hot
Cheers VinnieG’day TB

Sorry Chris , I meant ,
Hey Eagle !!
gotta get the crazy part right , but maybe any name will do , We are all insane just some of us are more so than others Ha! Ha!
At least we are all having some crazy fun and when we are old and grey just revere the good old times.
Hey Chris ,
Just talked with Tony and Sam13 , we are all keen to go, work commitments pending. I guess we would trailer to Cooranbong Fire station or The Pines from Sydney and wait for the gang there at the required time. Have 9 litres of fuel in the Berg is that sufficient. Please keep us posted you madman Ha! Ha!No trails like — “It’s not a photo, Wow” post , I may be crazy but even a known madman has his limits.
We’re always “Hot to Trot”
Cheers Vinnie
