Looks like I missed all the excitement here, probably just as well ;) Have a go on the 310 4 stroke Mick if you get a chance, I’d be interested in your thoughts.

You’ll like the 510 it’s got some poke to it, especially when you wind it on ;)

That’d be the go!! hey..KTM releasing a 350 ..is this going to become a new class i wonder? I’ve ridden the 510…one seriously QUICK unit!!harsh..but quick. Remember to take some glue Mick! I’m REALLY interested in the 310..I’d Love to get a shot on one.

I had an XT500 76 mod. was safe as houses, but it liked to eat the Legs of them whom did kick it!( timing was a Biatch) And Old 82 Cr 250. I saw a heap of the Surrounds to ISA on this unit. Punished it religously, maintanence was something one paid to the ex? Closest call to grief, Riding that thing Pinned, no rear brake Hub, Up around the side of a hill, when cresting the rear was going nuts, so I backed it off, dropped a couple of gears and ended up on the edge of a rock drop off. Some 30 ft deep and around 20 ft across. Reckon i would’ve pulped myself into that, tappin band in 5th…some times theres good comes outa a flat!!( broke the rear Hub trying to ride it ‘Solo” style at the speedway, bounced the wall..no more rear brake hub. :) I miss that bike. best point and go bike I ever had.

I hear this. Up here in QLD.. I’ve burnt a few Moto shops off the List of places to shop. Now I just use a Mech. Shop. I get my Tyres, oil any mech work I dont feel comfortable doing etc done All in the one place. As forparts..If I’m paying attention to the bike, i can pre-order through him. Takes a bit of time..cupla days..is no prob though. Has me thinking though as he doesnt sell bikes..and I’m thinking of adding a bike to the shed?? Dont know where to go??

Of course..if your worried about your Prostrate…you could Kill two birds with one Finger..Sorry STONE..

Huski610………. My DRZ400 felt a bit the same but I havent made any suspension adjustments since new. There is a good thread preparation tips titled Setting your suspension sag may be worth a look. I’m going to do that as soon as I clean the bike. Firstly I’ve got to walk properly because I think I’m in more pain today than yesterday.

Mate one thing for sure, if your NOT fit when you decide to go back riding..It Hurts heaps!! I done a couple of those long day rides now and I still feel it big time. Best cure, believe it or not, is get on the bike and go for a ride over a local track. do some stand up sit down kinda of things and you’ll free up abit.I stood n the Wind and rain Yesterday and cleaned my bike.>Well washed it off would be a beter description for it. I have some numbers here for setting sag, I’ll get into it when the rain goes.

I would sticker my bike up like that..but I cant ride for crap so it’d just make me look a bigger Dickhead than I am, which can be rather substantial as it is. Pity. Ohh..thwen there’s the part where they dont cut them for the 610’s unless i supply plastics. :(

Thanks all. Does this stuff make it to any Tv at all? I ‘spose it’s a pay tv thing if it does. I wouldnt mind watching some Enduro races..MX does nothing for me.same with SX. I used to watch some of the European stuff, on natural hill courses, i think they called it Enduro GP? Pity it doesnt make the free to air circuits though.

Nice Bike Moto!! I like it. Something I learnt about My Husky. The 610 has the exact measurements of the Honda CR500. Same height, head rake, wheel base. I had a thing for an Old CR250 i owned years back. it was an 82 mod. most comfortable all day bike I ever had. cause i was heaps fitter then, so maybe the All day thing is more me than bike? After the Amamoor ride I’m thinking of scraping up some $’s to get a hold of an older 250 for the single hard working trails. My Husky is rather brutish to toss about. maybe I should just by a Gym and some cement pills??

Again Moto..I like that bike! ;)

Gotowo..it’s all good. Lotsa pain yes…but it’s a small price to pay for such a day. I’d not think a sec. before going out to do it all over again.(i got GOOD pain Meds just for this purpose. :silly: ) One thing though..I’m going to reset my bike to harder suspension settings again before i do. The bike may have been a lot more “Comfy” but was like a wet sponge in the handling dept.

I have a mate I used to diamond drill with..He’s a Ringer most of the year and doesn’t mind the Odd rodeo. He also has a scar just above the Right kidney where he got Gored by a bull. They can certainly keep that for themselves. Closest I let myself get to Bulls is My dinnerplate!!
