1/ Want to know if the bulls think it is a good idea or not for the DRZ400??
2/ If so, which ones do you run?.I’m concerned, ( not so much if you drop it in a crossing its going to fill up anyway)but more so stopping halfway across with the vents underwater. It’s happened before with the bike coughing and spluttering nearly stalling.
Searching techeads
holeshotHey Holeshot…The lads in Nth Qld use DRZ400s’ for the FNQ run to the top and back. All their bikes have been water proofedby running thtem back up high but not to the Airbox. I’d sujest you have a Gook on their site. I seem to remember them having a tech Prep article on their page. Seeing as they “drain”..I’d have issues with running them to My airbox?
Yeah, I’ve suffered the “Oops, i have stalled it on the Mud flats” Fill in sydrome when much younger riding with a large group of friends. No leccy leg on the thumpers then either..What with all the MUD around here…is there a line? we are meant to be older after all??.
Gee’s mate, that’s a tad harsh…So much for mans best friend..I can keep an eye out 4 you..but its a long way to stick it in a box and mail?? Seriously ..I think those in NSW may come up trumps for you..My dogs aren’t in the breedin way as yet..And would be Waaaaaaaaay to big by the sounds of it..All the best with the hunt.
Yeah, cant help bad luck eh. Perhaps we shoulda just hammered on the blacktop…may have missed the crap on the sides then??. Churchill Mines road was Dry to the Grid then just after the hill it went to Hard Wet clay…did some “hair of my arse” sliding on some corners..was a Hoot at speed…We shall have to hook up again and go finish that run..Speak to you again after your Back from Brissy. I’m still wired form the days ride.
Take it easy Moto…or any other way you can get it…..
I went for a ride today for you. :woohoo: even though I wasnt aware you were in the Chop Shop…..Again.” Free Bubble Wrap”…dont tell my kids..

I guess that is what happens when you follow TRENDS isnt it. I would say ” serves you right” but that is a prick of a thing to say to anyone, so instead i’ll say” you should have known better”. Now, WHY did you buy it? was it because thats ALL that anyone races anymore? I go past the local track here, all you see is Orange. It’s like No-one can think for themselves anymore, or that No-one has talent, just ride a KTM and all is going to be A OK. Strange indeed.
OMG  Have you got things so wrong, hang on this is the Bull pit, you haven’t done your research here mate have ya. I am the last person to fucken follow any trend Husky610, what you have written above has been my argument for so long, remember I ride a XR650, wear a poka dot jersey, man you got things all wrong here, also my boys don’t race, it isn’t the high power PRO Senior, trends you are kidding!.
That said find me another bike for a 5 year that has out grown a pee wee 50, whats the next stepping stone Husky610?
Look back at my posting history and than try again cobber!TB
Mty Bad TB. I haven’t read your posts on the KTM, other than the pull start issue. My first thought was all the lil bikes out there.( pw 50/80, honda’s range of crfs? husky boy,Suzi drz70 etc etc.) why KTM? I dont follow whats going on in BIKE world. It simply doesnt interest me..if you can understand? I have bike, i ride bike. KTM however seem to be the “rage”..until peeople find out how exy bits are. Ever priced a front brake master cyl. for one?? To me it seems people are buying them to be seen. I know nothing of the “stages ” offered for kids. Again, my bad, my apology to you for getting you so excited.

As others have said, for a small cost saving it’s not worth grenading your engine.Your local KTM dealer will sell Motorex. If not you can use the spray from BelRay, seems to do the job too. Although messy, I think the oil you dip your filter into is the best.
The thing thats makes me stay away is just that Moto. Filter oil is VERY Tacky..sticky…canola oil isnt. However, being oil, yu’d think it’d jam up dust anyway…Another choice is the stuff that UNI filter use. And Castrol make some decent filter oil too.

Also was making up HDPE pipe lines too, same place, and laying them, in some serious heat. You touch the Pipe with bare hands..you get um blister!! Glad I aint there anymore.

Quote:Good point. I’ve also seen a doco saying we are overdue for a change in poles – as in north and south poles swapping. This causes global warming and cooling, erratic weather etc etc… recognise those symptoms??Actually I think the calendar being wrong is the most likely option!
ECKS Man, I have read heaps about that. never discount anything until someone can show you serious reason why you shouldn’t. Some of that stuffed clicked, like the Mammoths, frozen with tropical food in their Yaps..more interesting is the mayan calander and Prophecy. I know that NASA are freaking big time about the Solar spots this year..or rather LACK of Solar spots. I guess the good thing is that if its right, I wont have to worry about Mortgage repayments or Bike/Car payments..LOL

You poor things…Ohh, Gee it’s hot today..How can I tell? ’cause I is sweating an all I done is had a thought… 41c? poor things. In MY aircond lounge it hasnt gotten over 22!! 😆 :silly:
Yeah, I’ve heard of this and I think i can even remember an article in a Mag about it. Thing is, I paid best part of 12 large for my bike. If i take out the bits like frame, wheels, forks, swingarm, brakes lights etc, get left with the engine. That engine makes up a BIG part of that cost. A litre of filter oil is way cheaper. guess what I’m trying to say is,” no matter that I read it, no matter that someone who rides bikes tossed to them, i wont take the chance of dusting my motor for the sake of a few $’s saved”.
I just cant bring myself to try it??
