I reckon something like that could be Interesting. I get some what anxious ( weak knees?) at the thought of hitting Triples or Whoops..Must be I’m Subconciously afraid of eating even more dirt than usual?? I’ve done some seriuosly STUPID crap on push bikes but just find it hard to push into MX territory. Maybe learning from someone at a track may overcome that..Good thread this, i agree with Ollie. maybe KTMRAT should lay out a “How to “,”Tips” Column?? :) :)

I got an electric drill/screwdriver unit like the one TB showed only Not a Bosch. It’s Awesome..seems to be almost exact torque for all things external on my bike. My other fav is a 1/4 and 3/8 socket kit by HSV. I have to keep telling myself it means HUSQVARNA Special Vehicles..otherwise I’d throw it to the weeds…just on morality of course….Can I add my wife to the list,or is it strictly 2 Items?

Mate, I have broken my share of Brushcutters..the NEW stihl..”Stihl aint working”.. is the saying we ran with. yes, 25 yr ago they were made with real metal, real engineering. Today, its SHINDIAWA or go home and cry. We have bounced those things across roads that would shake the rear end out of your XR. they have rattled and bounced in trailers with 20ltr drums of water/poison/fuel, boxes with axes etc etc. you cannot kill them. Like i mentioned, they even run when the slide hangs out the carby. they scream like a banshee on heat, cut a track to route Satan outa hell they would. The kick they deliver when they flick back out of a tree trunk is UNBELIEVABLE. Toward the end of my time doing this we modified a Canoe rack to tie the machines down on..to save on the bits that were getting destroyed..like the carby slide screw piece.

On the bike thing..you know, what makes us buy what we buy. I think you all seem to miss it in your hurry to Hag out each others ride. I bought My Husky, no test ride, sight unseen. $11700.00 then waited for the best part of a week wondering if I did the right thing. Why? ‘Cause as a kid I remember reading about these bikes, wanting one, swearing on my mothers grave, thaty I’d get one. It didnt cross my mind that in the years passed they would have changed orientation or anything like that. I’m happy with what I bought, I’ve ridden with some that aren’t. At the end of the day, when i get home and park it, it doesnt really matter what it’s brand is, it was the day I remember. Some days some people need to borrow a ride, they get one, they ride it, they go home with a Grin, even if it was a piece of crap, because they got to ride and enjoy the day. ;) ( now all said n done, when you all getting a HUSKY?!!)

Ok….what sort of tyre is it? I’m getting tired of trying tyres out just to see $140.00 greasing off down the road..I’m trying out the MOTOZ 140/18..tractionator..it seems to be holding its own on the black top…on the tracks..wow does it hook up!! Climbing hills has become scary, it hooks up that well.( close to flip time at the crest) I know its cruel to others who ride behind me too, so it sorta makes me more gentle for their safety sake. ( haven’t put a MOTOZ obn the front end..yet..i have a DUN.952 at present) How many k’s do you reckon the pirelli is good for TB?

Don’t worry we’ll cop it mid jan to late feb, my theory is that summer has been coming later and later each year.

    Chris.

Now I risk being termed a know it all…But…does anyone else get the Idea It’s all coming around at different times because the calander isnt exact? as in ,we have set our dates and time into place, the earth however isnt may NOT be in time with it. I really dont know how to phrase it right?? We use the gregorian calander system, its not necessarily corwect is it..because we have to make a day every four years. so it may just be that the weather isnt out of whack, its our dateing system??

Now this is a subject that warms me heart. well the bigger bro’s of whippersnippers anyway..the BRUSHCUTTER. Rule 1. never buy Stihl brushcutters. They just cant hack it. There is Only TWO that are worth a buck. 1.) Shindiawa rule. 2.) if you cant get a Shidiawa, go the HONDA 4 banga. The Shindiawa 430 is the BOMB. throw a 24 tooth Tungsten tipped blade on it, nothing stands in it’s way. I have dropped trees from Bloodwood,Wattle And Gums with them. TREES, not frking little sticks. You can take out a tree at 16″ at the base!! This was work for me for a while, I ran a team of 11 lads, we fkn killed EVERYTHING that resembled plant life.1000 acres in a week and a half!! 9 machines 2 axes, and many drums of poison….NOt very Environmentally friendly…but the Cockey wants it done, you do it. I wouldnt touch a Stihl unless its a chainsaw and then only if I couldn’t find a Husky dealer. The Honda’s Ive only watched in use, they seem capable but I know nothing of its reliability. The Shindiawa’s just go and Go. Ive had them with the carby slide screw threaded, when the slide lifts up and out, the shindiawa screams…strangely though, they loose vibration?? But REV!!! today i have a MTD for the yard..i does it’s job..

For any intersted..I am on 15mg/morphine/hour. I have trouble just getting words to make sentences. Normally, my spelling is A1, ditto my Punctuation. I even have a cert iii in Office Admin. to back that up. Life however isnt always a bunch of roses and shit happens. At times it takes a while before i can even get the fingers on thte right keys, let alone work out how to word what it is I’m trying to write.
Now I dont want your FKN sympathy, just some understanding. ( this can also explain why i drbble, but thats kinda pushing it) I apologise for my tiff/spit/rant…OH, if sirdropalot is reading this…the pace i was riding the other day is about all I’m prepared to go at…when theres huge trees to park in along the track edge. Again, the Morphine has a BIG part to play in that. Perhaps I’m pushing it even then??

Seems you all expect big things from BMW’s first year at the WEC? Is it the rider/s your following that makes you pick. Husky was doing well in it last year, until the rider broke and fluffed the season. I haven’t follwed any of it with any great interest, i occasionaly read bits and pieces but thats it. TB. there was a Husky 610 entered the Finke last year. any idea of how it went? I think it’s a tad heavy for such an event, but then people rides thiose trucks called KTM 990’s in events like that..shows how much i know eh? Am curious to know how it went though and dont seem to be able to get info on it.

Now look at this…Here am I thinking I’m on a site about motorcycles and what do I get? Frkn English classes. For the educated amongst you, I flee’d school at the good age of 15, after intentionally avoiding the joint like it had the plague. Now, many years later i understand the worth of being properly educated. Its so i can comment on a fkn bike site without being hit up by the pedantic minded with stuff all else to do. My apologies people. Perhaps i shall scout about for some place that suffer from Hoighty toighty or however the frk its spelt ,Issues. Wbber/wber weba..who gives afkl. you all new what i was on about??

You don’t want to swim at the beach off fraser :( Stick to the pretty looking lakes :)

Mate, I worked Trawlers in this area in the mid 80’s, 1/2 mile off the beach of Eurong resort, i’ve been woken by the sound of a HUGE Tiger Shark banging it’s head against the boat. 1/2 mile from us were Clowns standing near chest deep in water throwing bait out?? On the Inside of Fraser, Vic Hislop has caught the Largest Tiger shark in Oz Waters. I’m with you, wanna swim, swim in the lakes. To think, my mates used to lay back in the nets when coming back into Tin Can Bay..
