Yeah, only for the Te 510 and lower. I hear they make a sport pipe for the 610’s but is only a touch freer than the standard ones. On the o2 sensor thing, i think the Husky’s ecu goes to a closed loop when the sensor is removed, allowing for the modification in the bikes breathing. On e thing I do know for certain is that the 610’s are definately NOT slow.. :cheer:
I dont know about Dakar/baja or finke but I do know that Husky has been building bkes for around 100 years. In that time they have claimed something like 60 odd world Titles in the European enduro Comps. hard to argue that kind of record. When Husky stated they were making a comeback to racing, I reckoned it wouldnt take long before they were heard again. I have know Idea how they’re going here in OZ. but I hear they did ok in the motards in the EU. last year.

I was in awe of the ’79 XL250. My mates old man had one, we used to cane it round the back yard.My first purchase was an old Suzuki A100 2 stroke roadie. Cleaned it up and sold it on. I’m an Ultimate fan of the ’76 XT 500. There’s one here in Town, I tried getting the bloke to sell it off, I ended up getting the Husky..He just wont budge.   I woulda paid 7-8 grand for it…Damn it.

Quote:The KTM ones are breathers not sepcific drains. They should have some sort of filter on though, it wouldn’t be too hard for a bug or some other crap to get in there and make a mess of your engine.I know some(?) of the KTM’s have breathers there..I went riding with a lad on a 525 that drowned it Via those hoses?? Glad i didnt have to Kick it for the 1/2 hr he did..

Quote:Yeah same Mick, I dont think a bug if it could get in there could hurt anything unless it was carrying a hammer?? lolThe hose are routed so fluid / water cant flow up, you can also cut a vee in the end to stop a rock getting stuck as well
That’s just some of the quality that KTMs have Mick
