IMHO, a waranty is only as good the dealer/shop you get the bike from. My Husky is just past the 2yrs of ownership, happily, i havent needed to call on it. where i am in qld, the husky dealers are going away like an ald mans hair? whats the go with that? As for the warranty thing, as Ollie once pointed out to me, they’re an expensive thing in themselves. If you have the dealer doing all those services, it isnt long before your bike costs an couple of thou. I cant say if its the same for all or not as i havent bought too many bikes brand new to be able to compare..mores the pity lol
since being married, I no longer do any kind of Bike services/rebuilds in the lounge room… where all respectable bike work should be done…the trade is I keep my Nuts, the bike goes to the shop
not a problem for a decent boily Mick. thats half the problem, there’s many a “decent” person out there would weld it for a few quick bucks. until our courts start acting as courts insteads of counsellors, the issue wont go away. Our boys in blue are at loose ends, they catch them, the magistrate gives them a kiss and hug. Keep the insurance up lads. not much else we can do that works.
Husky 610.. its what I ride… and OWN.lol. not hard.. I wanted one since i first reead about them. Took a decent wife to make me take the jump to get one. It’ll be the the last bike for me… well maybe lol..
and I thought you were under going a sex change?? hence the XY transit?? Ooops ,my bad..lol.. no …not really..just couldnt pass up the opportunity.
It would be real nice if for ONCE ,Just ONCE, the Idiots who call themselves Judges/magistrates took a harder stand on those caught for thieving. I know it wont happen because everyine is trying oh so hard to folow the somewhat GAY Poltically correct line..you know..” oh he’s just misunderstood.”, ” we cant be hard on the poor buggers, they have a had life”… As much as i hate to say it, Indonesia, Thialand have a great system.. Beat the daylights out of them with some Ratten cane accross the back.. a few hundred times.. second time..Just shoot the Bastards.
Sorry for your loss Ollie. Hope they find them and return them in good order.
It must be the bike, first it’s my head, now the poor tree has got the same lumps and bumps.?
We see the Lads out and about up here a bit. they mainly only bother the loud Freaks, unrego’d or those tearing ibto the bush “Off Track”. I reckon itd be a decent Day out for the Boys..
I went out yesterday.? Scratched around in a quarry and the surrounding areas. Found a few S/t’s that looped the Quarries (2 of), plenty of climbs…was VERY HOT here yesterday…Had the Fan working hard on the Husky and the Camel bag was near on hitting Drought conditions after 2 hrs..Another HOT STILL day here today so Binned the plans of single tracks in the HIlls. might have to get a decent light and go night rides this year to beat the Heat.

Quote:Its horses for courses some people would rather spend 8 grand on a brand new DRZ than the same amount on a second hand bike,My brother had a 2000 model drz and traded it on a crf and hated the honda.I suppose it comes down to the individual.Exactly. and thats why they sell so many. they have a bike which has a large sale footprint because of their known durability. they arent Brilliant at anyone thing but are very capable in all things. Bit like my Husky..it doesnt excel at any one point but does real well over most bases. I cant see Suzuki changing too much with the DRZ..not until sales fail.
My bike has a Regina chain..It gets whats handy most days? Wd40, Silkolene chain lube even used Browning Gun oil. So far its 5200 klms old..2x fronts same rear. I clean the bike after a ride, then drown ALL in WD40..I really expected to have needed to replace them by now ??
Sorry..had no issues like that..Mine isnt F.I. maybe check the battery..apparently the varta battery has a habit of dying off quick. If no joy here, Try http://www.cafehusky.com
