Empathy is the biggest killer. So many people WONT get off their butts’ and say anything because they believe it wont affect them. eg. I dont go camping/riding/driving there so it’s no issue to me. Here where I am, we have the Kill joys confiscating kids Bikes, for riding in a piece of crown land that was tuirned into a track with jumps, whoops, berms etc, by kids nearly 20 yr ago. What part of it cant the figwits understand? kids on bikes aren’t doing drugs and or ripping your home off. People need to keep emailing their local members. get yoru friends, anyone you can to email. Now, if ” everyone” was to do this daily, say at 9am day 1. day2 10 am.day 3. 11am etc. just keep at it.also hit the bossman of NPWS. he he .

I’ve had a crack at a 12 – 45 on the Te 610, wow..front tyres last forever. Thought that having the front Kick up in 4th – 5th gear changes was a tad irresponsible, so now i have the 14 – 45 back on. lol. I want a 13 and 15 now… DRZ riders, have any of you had issue with the c/s getting chewed up? I hear that red Loctite maybe the Ideal fix? Curious to hear replies on this as i have a few mates that i try to link up with that ride em.( I dont ask them as they’re not altogether mechanical. eg. can spell spanner, not identify from screwdriver.)

And I thought my 610 was nasty! Like riding a fence paling with engine. Time is softening it, or my ass has grown callouses. LOL.

Yeah, me too , until I read a book about that had this all explained in it. Now, a merry go round just never seems the same. So much for reading eh?

Merry go rounds, AKA Carousells..originated in The days of Knights/Castles etc. The idea was stumbled upon by the English Knights watching the Moores training. Instead of pounding the bejeesus outa some poor test dummie with a lance, the Mores/arabs went about placing a ring on a tree to hit. When back in England, the Idea was eventually modified to the point of Stumps on a turntable with the ring, then Horses carved outa wood etc…..Gotta love War, the mother of all inventions. ( rave over…class can get back to work now)

I’m running Dunlop 952’s front n rear…on Husky 610. the rear has taken me 2200 k’s to date is almost ready to be flicked. The front is new and is best I’ve had on it..not hard as its only the 2nd on it. Sadly the dunlop is only 120, I’d rather a 140, the trade up is quicker response in handling..trade off?? maybe hook up, although it’s done a very good job of that at 120 anyway. .. Are the retreads road legal? 9 wouldnt matter much, dont think the 952’s are anyway.??

Met an Old fella once when I was a kid( 100yr ago :(), he was a drover in his day, he used to rub the grease( fat) from the pork roasts into ALL his saddles, bridles etc. Being an animal fat, the leather will soak it up quickly and make it supple as well as waterproof too. ( can get a tad smelly, works if cash is hard to get). With the Dubbin/pork fat, leave the boots in the sun to warm up abit, then apply, it’ll get in a bit deeper.

Mate, I’m 6’4 ,120kg…Husky 610 does me ok for trails. Does surprisingly well on tight single trails too. maybe a tad heavy for some though…The te 510 is an awesome bike as well, 2yr warranty, awesome straight out of the box, is FI, claimed to be best on market. I’ve heard the best Mod for the klx is a heavier flywheel, Crf is still solid, typical of Honda’s ability. The KTM, i now nothing abut, apart from its heritage. Another decent option would be the HUSABERG with the new 70 deg engine config.. the builders say KTM’s input has helped withthe reliability concerns? .( i’m led to believe the KLX uses the DRZ powerplant? they’re a solid unit as well). they’d all be good untis, just difrent pro’s n con’s….Enjoy whatever you get.
