Here’s to hoping all you OLD BULLS down in the NTH END of NSW are doing ok… Looks like we got some more coming back up to us this afternoon..Looks like allowing developement in the Land reclaim areas and Flood ways of major rivers is paying dividends???? :(

If these bikes are F.I. then the system generally have 2 maps. Open Loop and closed loop. The Huskies have a setup whereby you cahnge the Lambda sensor and fit open pipes, the bike then atuo switches to the race loop. the O2 sensor is the big part in it. A mate of mine has the CRF 450..it too has a wire mod similar to the Yammie.Made a big difference to his CRF. I often wonder if My 610 has the same set up, even though its carb mod. the wiring and Ignition pack is the same as the EURO version which was F.I…If the maps are preprogramed in the CDI part , then it stands to reason that I should be able to do a similar Mod? ( with my great lack of knowledge..I foresee my bike staying as is though)

if i lived in the city and had a short commute i’d have a motard in a heartbeat.

i reckon if they had solar charging stations, low or NO rego fees , it would be a winner.

less mid to bigger cars in the cbd. more parking spaces.

hmmm now that’s enough of that!!! i sound like a greeny!

now to knock another baffle out of my muffler:P ;)

Its all on the way. The electric charge grid is being done now by an Aussie consortium..funny how they get to go to Europe and do an install there first. Those Bikes by Zero have a 4hr run time @ 80kph. Dont know about your states but here in QLD we are loosing much to bikes because of NOISE. the area where we hold the Brissy leg of SX/MX Xtreme is not up for renewal to the sport. Means that there is now NO plans for thsi in the Brissy area anymore.BECAUSE OF NOISE. KTM are doing the Christin wheel thingy..2wd bikes in comp. With a spare batt.pack, the Zero can do a hot change quicker than you can refuel…No bike onthe market(dirt) can match the torque they deliver from start of throttle.Wont be long and these will be pushed as the ” motorcycle” of the age(Glob.warm..etc) One group have converted CRF450’s over to Twin elec motors..they run them hard. I’d give one ago tomorrow if they were selling them here. never no if you dont give it a go.

    Hi All,

i did not want to start a whole new thread.

i went to the local shop just to see what they had to offer for my 640

they recommended the dunlop 606 (something) looked the goods, but?

    they wanted $135 fr , $145 r:unsure: + fitting

seems like a bit over inflated if you ask me.

however i just wanted people’s experience, if any with the dunlop 606.

XY Transit..I’m usiing a 606 at present on my Husky…Its definately a slow wear tyre..like the bridgestone shot my Dunie has close to 200 klms a fair amount of that on Bitumen as i dont transit the bike for rides. As for grip…i rate the 952 much better and it was also a slow wear tyre but heaps of hook up.I padi 135 + fitting here in M’Boro qld. I had a MOTOZ before the 606…it had heaps of grip but was like licorice on the oad…very strong cases…i ran 6psi in it at times.(mostly) no rim hits no punctures..pity it didnt last longer..it was a great tyre for most conditions i rode.

I think bikes have lost abit in their developement of power delivery…I know that being more linear is better for times…But that Kick…keepinig the bike in that zone..was sorta different..Scary yet fun?? I know my Husky is much more “polite” in its delivery than any bike i had before..15- 16 yr gap in riding…Suspension quality does heaps too.

Yeah…I had a 465 for a while, whilst I was in Isa..it cost me 7 offences and front page of the Local..All because it dropped the springs on the expansion/manifold…made heaps of noise going past a “plods” Lodge at around 930 pm…they picked me up hr odd later and went silly…Cost abit.

    Hey Boulder

I just took a better look at your avatar and it looks like your bike lives in the house. For this I have given you karma.

I have managed to bar cars from my double garage even though I live at the beach and they are slowly rusting into the yard. Moving the bike indoors though is the next level and any advice you have would be appreciated.

He he…mines right out there by the Kitchen…Is locked down each night..dogs stay in the Shed..IMHO..nike have it so right at times..”Just do it”….you may end up outside..the bike wont.

All the best Champo..I dont even “Dream” of doing it…Must say though that the Power delivery of the older bikes was something spectacular… I had an 82 CR 250 that was a “delight” to play on..a few Xt 500’s that just loved nothing more than trying to “OWN ” my ankles…I must say the ‘leccy kik’ is way more Polite on my Husky..LOL

I use a 661 pressure suit..its paid for itself already..I wash it after every ride( chuck it in the front loader and onto the line. I dont use the roost plate in it though. I spray Dry glide on the Zip. No probs in 2 yrs.
