Hey moto next time he chews something, give him a finger of hot english mustard, he will learn not to chew your stuff in no time!!

Dan actually told me he hates Tobasco, I haven’t given him any yet but I might just get the bottle out. I was also thinking of rubbing chilli juice on the TV remotes to stop him from attacking them every chance he gets!

Cheers for all the help guys :)

Mate, he’s a pup, he’s chewing shit up because he has a shitload of teeth wanting to come through. next time your in coles/woolies or the butcher, get a bag or two of “Brisket bones”. He’ll chew these way before anything else, they’re a soft bone and are way good for young dogs.( this also helps keeps his digestive tract free of crap from tin foods and dried foods.) (chicken necks are full of protien and will blow your mind on how quick they can pull a poor dog up) sorry to digress…

Ok. had gym going for over a week now, so far I’ve only done MINOR damage to self..Being the Smart ass i sometimes can be, i didnt put ALL the wieght plates on the Gym, as i know I’d just end up being Dumb. I’ve sorted out a decent couple of routines..shelved one already and am working out a second to replace it with. My conclusion is that this is Sic. I should have done it ages ago. So far I’m feeling OK.( yes..I’ve had a rather painful day or two from it) and look forward to my “workout” days and can feel some benefits from it already. a down side is all the extra energy I get. upside..The fitter i get( or stronger)the better control I should achieve, the more i can start to “chuck” the bike around..( does anyone “chuck” a 140 kg bike about??)
My plan is to gain strength..not loose wieght, although that wouldn’t be a bad thing either but fast walking and or running is way out of the question…I could certainly afford to loose 20-25kg without looking Anorexic..

    paul.

Paul, the flame grill your talking about is part of the Airbox, so when/If you grease the back of the filter, just worry about the outer edge of the airbox, basically to stop any crap slipping down the back, between filter and Box. I grease mine around the outer edge, though i no longer have said flame out grill as i changed my airbox.

a 530 hell even a big husky 610 or whatever they are this month.
The Big HUSKY isnt a huge power house..It holds some serious torque but its a slow revver, likes to take a bit of time to wind up. can be Snappy up high if you wish it to be, All up its a rather ” relaxed animal”. certainly wouldnt consider a Turbo for it though..it’s way heavy enough already. Want “power” i reckon the 510 or the big 530 ktm would be more than enough…Imho…

I really look forward to the Extra control it can give me Moto. last ride( Amamoor) I hit an errosion mound and my left arm couldn’t keep up. I really aint that talented to go doing One handers Moto..I came sooo close to cleaning up the Embankment it wasn’t funny. Ended up saving my arse by finding the mirror…strange how that little mirror has saved my butt…twice now…my hope is this Gym will give me the extra strength in that arm…or I may have to trade my 610 down to something MUCH smaller..Something i really dont want to do as it’s the “Perfect” bike for longer runs…exploration style rides…the Fitness part is added bonus.

My new( expensive) peice of gear will be here in another week. I am not patient. Scored real well too. HE HE..lad in shop ( over phone) says he can cut me a deeal..little did he know the drama’s coming his way. He sold me a gym for 800. Next day he rings back…sorry we’re outa stock..Would you be prepared to add 2 hundred to it and get the next model..I umm and Ahhh..agree. Next day, he’s on the phone…those were sold out..I have another one but its a grand dearer…I told him I’d take it..and they can give it to me for what I already Paid, delivered to my Fkn Door! He goes away, comes back after around 2 mins, deal done. Scored a 22oo $ gym for 1090. Not a bad day. :)

The sit and stay system we use is a good one I feel, it really requires that everyone is familiar with it to make it work though. I actually like getting a turn on a corner and watching everyone go by,especially in big groups.
The other nod and go system, I am not so keen on ,as I have experienced first hand, when it breaks down and been lost to the wilderness for over an hour at Coffs Harbour. The fella in front of me presumed I was still behind him and followed the pack down a left turn and ol Mick just went straight ahead,it wasn’t till I noticed no knobbie marks on the road, that I realised I was seperated from the pack.
Once I realised I was lost, I slowly back tracked, staying as far to the left as possible, to the last place I knew the group had seen me and sat and waited. Which is a policy I also think we should adopt should you realise you are lost to the pack..

Mick, that is a rather good point to raise. No matter if your riding or Bushwalking, If you find yourself Lost from a group, backtrack to last “Known” place of Gathering, Then plant your Butt. If you cant backtrack, sit down and wait, dont make things worse by getting yourself MORE lost.
On the system that was tossed up here, GOOD IDEA. On the Amamoor ride, i found myself more than once, wondering which way i was meant to be riding. Guess i was playing the ” Way back” position..sorta like a fullback, only further back. :)
