I know that sounds like it’s going against the “low cost” attractiveness of the class but they really need to catch up when it comes to emissions for example. Read: DI. Should still be low(er) overall running cost than 4T.And w ho knows if the class grows legs they might be able to compete against the 450 4T
IMO i think the 300 is the 2 stroke to take on the 450s in mx class the 450s have had millions thrown at them and go very very well, I see at plenty of club days 250 smokers giving it to the 450s in open and winning by half a lap but when everyones as talented as each other like in the pro classes i think the 450s just have an edge over the 250 just 50 cc more and a bit of development of some sort would pull the 450s in.BRING BACK THE SMOKERS

Wouldn’t mind a cheap 300.w hy not there done it to everything else except the 310

You wont be able to blip yourself out of trouble as quickly as you could on the Gasser but you are more into line selection than muscling yourself over stuff anyway. I can’t wait to read a few ride reports once you get it dialled!!Enjoy.

p.s Our avatars are in sinc. Everytime your guy pushes the beer away the Hippo slaps him
Yeah I was playing around with blipping the front up yesterday and you’re right it doesn’t come as quick or easily. But we did a couple of snotty tracks with some rock steps and I managed ok. Once I get used to the motor and bloody engine braking it’ll be great to ride.
HA HA synced avatars are cool. LC’s does need more oil Squiggle.
what did you think Mal, i was very impressed with the whole package .I didnt notice the compression braking that much notas bad as a YZ 450 i rode the other week where i went over the hangers when i backed off.
the fella that come with me was on a 300 gasser and i give him a good go on our demo he loved itBoony wrote:I have spoken to s couple of locals that have actually ridden the new shercos.
