with the starting problem its not so much the actual starter motor its the bendix(the throw out gear from the starter to primary) mine went at about 120 hours cost $160 to replace i used to grease it but crap used to come up through the breather ( you might want to have a google on youtube at slavens racing he does a wet start mod where he seals off the breather and puts a bit 5wt fork oil ) this was a problem on the 2010 they might have fixed this on later models
the jd kit takes a lot of guessing out of it i know moto has sorted a lot out with rm needles ( i also know moto likes his bikes very snappy with running no powervalve spring at all and the powervalve spring preload wound right off dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with this but everyone likes there bike diferent) ive had them for my husky and have one on the way for my CR 250 really fixed any carby problem and if you getting something from the states wack a jd jet kit on the list to ,$80 for the CR

50:1 is fine with a fully synth oil.

I used Dexron ATF fluid in my gearbox. It works well and changes gear nicer than some more expensive oils. It’s also so cheap you can drop the oil at much more regular intervals if you feel the need.

plus 1on the fully synthetic at 50:1 motul 800 on my 2010 ktm

its not only the public thats like this . My local riding spot (thats when i had a regod bike of course ) at wallaroo is a very popular spot for bikes and 4WDs now the government in its goodwill to the greenbrained public has decided to put a plan in place to preserve the place as the bikes and4wd s are wrecking the place so they have turned the whole lot into national park and again this because of the tree huggers that probably live in sydney and will never ever see the joint anyway, now heres the clincher im involved in the quarrys and aggregates industry and have found out that next year there will be a quarry started in this “national park” with a million tonne per annum licence now last time i looked at our quarry it made a s#%t load more damage to the fauna than any bike or 4wd its not like a mine that use the overburden to “rejuvinate” when there done a hard rock quarry is blasted and stepped and thats the way it will be left . I suppose the difference is that a dirtbiker wont pay royalties funny that isnt it !!!
