the bigend( especially in the 510) was a common problem in those early ones mine being a 2005, boony if it was 2007 i would have bought another 510 but its not and thats why i went the ktm 300 when i bought my next bike .another problem i have noticed on quite a few occasions on different rides is that when they start getting hot and back firing they blow the intake manifold off the throttle body as well

Barrinton Tops is a great place. I have done a bit of trout fishing up in the Dilgry circle, have never ridden there, I bought my first BRP with that being the main aim and I still haven’t gotten there. So much country and so little time.

We can sort you out with a barrington ride Mick.
By the way, are you going away for the long weekend? I will be up your way and am wondering if I should throw the bike on.

this bloke doesnt go to bad either up that way

my brother had a honda cx 500 he also had a girlfreind that used to take his time so i used to wait till mum and dad went to sleep and i would push the bike up the driveway and take it in to maitland and see the mates on it, until i run into the local publicans daughter one night and then her working behind the bar commented to my dad that she had seen me on a motorbike, hence the next time i waited till mum and dad went to sleep dad busted me putting fuel in it and would kick my ass if he ever seen me doin it again but the funniest thing about it 12 years later on the night before i got married me ,dad and my brother were having a few beers at home reminising about old times and i said to him “what about when i used to take your bike out for a spin when you werent home…………” the look on his face was priceless . Dad had never told him
