All was going good until the last bite and I thought it might make it easier to remove the tyre lever if I used the un-spooned end of the lever. It’s the first time I’ve done this and I only own short levers.Yep I pinched the bastard!!
. First one ever
tommorrow I’m working in the middle of the bush an hour from the closest bike shop and I thought I’d be smart and change the tyre while the bike was still on the trailer from last weekend. Now I have given myself a mission to sort it out tomorrow so I can be ready for final trail cutting dutys Friday morning.
Looks like an early knock of tomorrow for sure
your not using one of them $20.00 tyre on this ride are you Ian!!!?????? :woohoo:

congratulation choppa hope everyones fine and NO its not to early
from what there saying down this way it sunny all week so with all the rain we have had a week of sun should = perfect :woohoo:
ive got a kenda carlsbad on the back ive just turned around on the rim after 4 rides, but it has a sharp edge on the knobs on the new side so it should go alright  . It didnt seem to mind a slippery Dungog last weekend on the old side of the tyre so with the new M12 front it shouldnt be to bad

Run a soft compound or intermediate at most and run around 13psi and you should be sweet. I ran a brand new S12 today and it handled the slop well. Hopefully it will dry out a bit during the week.
STM
you have to congratulate blokes that put this sort of thing on so the average joe blow can understand and have a go at DIY maintenance its also good as it gives you something to reference to if your halfway through a job and think mmmmm hows that go again ,your straight back on the computer and see it done right in front of you. This was the way i not only maintain my bikes but how i rebuilt my husky otherwise it would have cost me twice as much to rebuild as labour is normally the killer in most repairs.

o….k you seem to assume to know the story Corey, id hate the truth to get in the way of your story!

Quote:There is a hill out near Buladelah that Huskybloke took us down one time that rates too, like I said we went down it and it was probably the steepest hill I have ever ridden down and is littered with tall steep erosion mounds. I had the bike off but in gear and feet out using the clutch and brakes levers to control my decent and still managed to fall. Tore the watch off my wrist (steel band) and I didn’t even notice, one of the other blokes spotted it and brought it down with him.its amazing who you run into out on a ride, i to was out at dungog and waiting for a couple of blokes to get up a hill when snow come riding along, your right it was greasy out there Snow but there bloody good riding there and i hope it was good practice for Coffs Harbour, 8 days 10 hours to go
