to be honest i cant tell you because i put the sx one on straight away but it just sits in just off the power band and is so easy to control you can ride it like that or on the more free flowing single ride it in the band and let it rip the only other mod ive done is a 52 tooth rear ,
the 250 sx i have has been ported and the head mod done by dicks racing in the states so the next thing i will try is swapping the head and see what that does but the main thing is to keep the power delivery the same way just see if i can get more torque

just a follow up , i took the bike up to Monkerai /frying pan creek on sunday ended up doing a 100 km loop with about 5 others , took on some big greasy red clay hills and couldnt believe how easy this bike is to ride all the others wwere on 450 and 530s they all thought it wasnt going to get up and every time i made it up 1 they would take on a harder hill
it was so much easier to ride than the 300 i had and it didnt bust me up hanging onto it at the end of the day and at 100kg you could throw it round where ever you wanted to put it

I like a fast grade 3 , a grade 4 is good when I get. Few rides under the belt , a grade 5 is always some sort of erzberg and if I was a good enough rider i would probably like it but I also like my bike to much and hate seeing it get trashed on rides like that
