heres another DR800 I spotted:
weird? another DR800:
yeah shes a 800 alright. (I think its basically the same donk as a 750). not such great speed but a real thumper.
ill try to upload a link of a site in france with some pics of some pretty sick things people have done to these bikes. Some of them look pretty wicked! (ill try posting a couple at the bottom of the page).
As for the air intakes? well I dropped them off today and it looked better without them- not that they do anything anyway!
Ill cut the black side covers to fit the contour of the bike better and have them and the rear guard (and maybe radiator shrouds) carbon fibred.
I’ll fit a oval bosch spotty under the headlight with another HID in it. one for low, one for high as i dont hve a hi/lo HID, only 2 singles. (also the acerbis headlight is best for low beam only anyway).
yes it has a the steering damper. but it’s absolutely useless anyway, so ill p-ss it off (spotty will go there anyway).
you guys should see the carbon fibre work they do here. Its not bad and crikey its cheap. (comes with a 6mth warranty so cant be too bad). I’ll post some pics as the project comes along.
ill have to hurry though, as Im due back middle of next month…heres a couple fom a french website:

just a thought…sorry, that above suggestion was for a chain guide (the one sandwiched between 2 alloy plates that hangs off the swingarm)…
as for the slide Ive used the same bread board material cut out and heated with a heat gun to conform to the curve at the swingam bolt end…mate Ive improvised by cutting up the missus’ bread board and laying the cut outs together (kinda like laminating them together), and making one up like that. just a thought…great ride buddies…
riding the 600 was great! have to get some tread on that back tyre though!
beats the sh@t out of ridimg my XRM 110 for the last 6 months in asia dogging chickens, water buyffalo, pigs, doggey buses with no brake lights, other riders with no rego (or headlights),sugar cane trucks (left over from the war), cops on 150cc chinese cruisers, motorised trikes, secads (push bike trikes) and all of them belching smoke!
yes we are lucky riding here. Its so peaceful and calm. less dangerous and the aussie bush tops it all off for a great days riding…
hmmmm bugger the tyre, think ill go riding again tomorrow….thanks guys thats great.
I managed to upload a few but I think I need to make them smaller as some wont upload.(maybe because I’m only on dialup or thier too big).I’ll definately do the photobucket thing tomorra as its beddy byes soon for me tonight!
much appreciated…
