Did that once playing squash, yeh I know completely G@y, any way I was about 20 years younger than I am now and it hurt like shite then :pinch: , hate to think how it would feel now!! :S
I didn’t mind the TE310 Ollie, bit slower but I’m getting on in years now (48 in Sept  ) and even though it hurts real bad not to have a bike that can shred me to bits in the first 2km of trail ( and anyone else within roostin’ distance of the rear tyre) I recon I’ll still get thru the tears well enough to enjoy the Lil’ Husky, won’t miss the weight that’s for sure, probably agree on a price early next week and pick up next weekend.
Good luck with the rib mate,
Cheers
IvaOllie wrote:Hey Husky Bloke just got back from Tekniks after dropping off the rear Sachs shock for the Gasgas. Mark (evil Rudy) went right through it with me and described how and what would be done.Basicly he said the shock was good but with some minor short comings which will be resolved totally for under $500. This includes a new damper valve and bladder arrangement. so by getting the 2011 you should be able to get your fronts done as well and have a superior suspension setup.Ollie
You bin drinkin agin Ollie?? :side:
Thanks Evil Ruddy, I’m way across the bargaining bit
, just want to make sure I don’t end up with a shock that can’t be brought up to he same standard as the Kabaya.
Yeh, I’m not sure where Husky has headed in the last few years, I can remember Ollins rear ends on them and now we have (as you so correctly put it) Shite. But if you guys are confident you can make them work, the bikes bargain price means I’ll be riding earlier!! :woohoo:
Thanks for all your help Evil, the love in the room has me feeling the need to lay down some newspaper
Thanks Ollie and HuskyBloke, I’m off for a test ride! :woohoo:Cheers
Ivahuskybloke wrote:there a nice bike the 310s iva nearly bought one myself , might be the sort of question for a husky only website(cafehusky.com). resting up after busting my shoulder again but tell us when you get it , we will go for a ride.Sorry to hear about your shoulder Huskybloke, I wanted to post it here to get Tekniks opinion ’cause either way, they’ll get the bike (as soon as I get the suspension bedded in) for a revalve so best to seek thier opinion up front.
Don’t worry, I’ll be well and truly up for a ride by the time your over the shoulder
Cheers
IvaI don’t wan to get too personal Chris but … how does the Mrs pee?

You have an awesome report writing style Mate, not so much understated as hardly stated at all!!
Thanks
IvaThose hillclimbs are awesome Mick, from on the hill the guys look like its a normal hill until the camera zooms out and the bit that looks easy is almost vertical!! :pinch:
I normally take the approach where it’s OK to slam into a hill going up but you have to take it easy coming down, these guys are getting smashed just from stopping on the hill
I feel thier pain .. but won’t be doing any crap like that anytime soon!! :S

July 11, 2011 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Most damage to a new bike in the shortest time possible #204730Nice response Rebor450!
Of course those of us who ride other bikes prefer to avoid the herd and stand out from the crowd!!
Hang on … wouldn’t that make us targets for rogue rhodesian ridgebacks?
Hey Snowie, has anyone tested the aforementioned mongrel curs eyseight, maybe he thought he KTM was a Honda!!:evil:July 11, 2011 at 6:20 pm in reply to: Most damage to a new bike in the shortest time possible #204681As a scientist
, I think of the situation this way Rebore450, our Rhodesian Ridgback is your typical predator, he’s been watching the bikes around the place for a while now just waiting for his moment. And there it was! Now as we all know, the predators seek out the sick and the weak, so a brand spanking new KTM would have been exactly what he was looking for, and judging by Snowies detailed description of the havoc wreaked on the poor KTM he knew what he was doing!
See Rebore450, it’s just a case of Natural Selection at work.
Cheers

Rhodesian Ridgeback, I believe it grew up in a scrap yard!
It should be used to seeing KTM’s then (Mick’s reply)
Agree ….even new ones
July 11, 2011 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Most damage to a new bike in the shortest time possible #204679Must be a reason KTMs are (generally speaking) lighter in weight than most other bikes, if a dog can destroy a header pipe I think I might have found the answer…..
