Only award I ever got was the “Being a Goose Award” handed out by the state manager at my current employers initial 2 day induction.
Been here five years now, no promotion yet …. wonder why???

Changed the jetting last night to try and save some fuel and gain more low down power. Test ride today in tight singles.

Nice and crisp with heaps of power (maybe to much) comes onto the pipe a bit to strong for the tight nasty stuff.

Still uses a shit load of fuel. 48km and about 0.5L off reserve. :( Might drop the main jet down a couple of sizes.

    Is that the Gaser Mal?
Maybe the throttle control needs backing off? :woohoo:
Maybe not all your fuel is going thru the motor, have you looked at float heights, might be losing fuel out the bowl vent lines, just a thought, the fuel use sounds excessive ….

Oh and before the Jap bike lovers jump in here, I had an XR600. When it was 12 months old I pulled it down to stick a 630 kit in it. Hard facing was rooted on 2nd and 3rd gears and the rocker followers (of all things!). I replaced everything on that bike in the time I had it, even the frame. There is a reason there is so much aftermarket stuff for the jap bikes, standard fitted gear is not great.

I have a few mates (3) who all went out and bought new KTM 450s about three years ago. All three replaced every bearing in the gearbox within two years. There is a reason they are so light.
On Topic, all bikes have issues, the Huskys lost a lot of cred in the period 2006 to about 2009 before BMW took them over due to poor built quality, not design, build. Since the BMW takeover that has improved but isn’t perfect, neith is KTM I have seen several whinges about getting warrenty out of ol’ mate Leisky and his corporate pals.
Go to a dealer you trust and you’ll do better no matter which brand you choose is the simple answer!

Packing it (and the rest of the house) up to move to Kempsey … two more sleeps (feels weird leaving my Sydney house, met my new tenants yesterday, two Gay guys and their very quiet little Lesbian friend + cat …. they seem nice … as long as they pay the rent!)

I hate moving, sucks MORE than any job could possibly suck! I’m exhausted AND I’ve got cardboard dermatitis!!

I can symathise Mick, theres that much camera footage of my insides (from both ends) that i could make a full length movie out of it.
Truth be told Gents, the camera is OK, you are out to it as Mick pointed out, the worst part is if they stick the camera up without removing the shit, they can’t see for shit so the shit must come out … that bit sucks big ones!

There are a few things going a bit weird but overall good job Chris, hard to pull something like this together in your spare time knowing that not everyone can be happy with the result
Happy to contribute to your alcohol problem at Nundle Chris!
