[Umm, well safety …I mean bones and mucsles and stuff, socially … no need for safety there, go for it eh!!]
IvaGasket material cleaned off, thought about wet and dry but was worried about clearances without the right advice, new gasket used each time, last time used new gasket and a rubber based gasket goo (qual product)
No oil in water so not mechanical seal, but will replace when i get the leak sorted as the housings been off a few times now.Holy Crap, wait till the politicians get hold of that, that Guy will be in Guantanamo ASAP.
Nice work Owl 2 !!Nice Rap STM, who said white men don’t got rhythm??
2011 TE310, oil leak on the motor side of the water pump is pi …. annoying me, tried gasket goo (after two new gaskets), used proper torque wrench settings … warped pump casting/housing?? Dunno, just annoying, goes betweeen oil changes with no drop in oil levels.
Teknic lowered mine when i got it revalved, dropped seat height about 35mm to allow for my ducks legs, real nice except in normal bike depth ruts. Simple answer don’t ride the rutted out f’d up Watagans…..

Got no chance now   :pinch:
Adam.
Smaller bike you should keep up now,but saying that the little 310 shaw has some punch 👿
Aw comon Al don’t give him a phsycological edge, you’ll smash him just like before and get less worn out doing it!
By the way Al, do you work with concrete boots or horses heads or something???
Not one reply putting down Huskys on this thread .. gotto be a reason for it?
have you got rid of the Orange dinger Ian?
No new setup, just need to remove the rocker cover and slip in the feelers Huskybloke, pretty easy but as usual these days, maintenance is designed for an 8 year old italian boy with widdle fingers and hands, gettin mine in there was a pain but doable….
heals wrote:TE 310whats the maintenance regime like Iva ?
how do you rate in single trail ?

Maintenance is good, I have about 80 hours on mine, check the valve clearance recently, still OK.
Change Oil about every 15 to 20 hours (2 -3 rides) as long as rides are not in hot weather …. tyres and thats about it…Awesome in singles once the suspension is set!
No reserve, get at least 110km haven’t run out yet and at 110 there is still fuel in tank
Mmm same model as my TE450, looks like a right beast that one Mick, scary cause of suspension? or power?
From the look of those singles you were smashing you’ll love it!
The ’12 is a better bike than the 2010 hands down.
Yeh, I had a 450 before this but for the riding your doing, only the fire trails will be slow compared to the 450, you’ll smash most 450s in the tight stuff (depending on rider quality of course!) and still get up the hills they get up but you’ll be less knackered.
I did 110km of singles on saturday, due to lack of time on the bike (Barmah Forrest virus, thanks to Detours Boris for that one!!) I was knackered but I’d have pulled out half way through if I’d been flapping off the back of the 450.Pretty Happy with my 2011 TE310 Bigger Al, nice ride for an ol fella (50 in Sept)
I’ve spent some money on my ’11 ride but the ’12 modell sorts out all of the things I did to mine (suspension, muffler, Rekluse clutch .. oh no hang on not the last one)
I was worried it wouldn’t get up big hills .. I was wrong .. it won’t wheely with the 450s and bigger but is fast enough to pull up beside ’em and kick ’em off line while there on the back wheel 👿
The CRF weighs at least 10kg more than the Husky….. and has 50cc less …. and is from Japan!!
